QJ has zero trade value in that league. There will be no sell window unless his production increases significantly. Based on Quentin's 2023 performance, my projection is he is not good enough to increase his production enough to be startable on any fantasy contender.Menace2010 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 8:50 pmThat's just bad process. Dropping for nothing makes zero sense.Anteaters wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 3:48 pm for point of reference: in team 1 in my sig, a 20-keeper league, I'm dropping QJ and keeping Tre Tucker. I was excited for QJ's potential, but his terrible showing this season has turned me completely off. There's nothing there but a faint distant hope of a hold.
From the depths of his rookie season, even if QJ improves, we're looking at maybe a weak iffy flex player. As back-2-back champion in that league, I want starters on my roster, not roster cloggers. I don't need (or want) a WR who's potential projects to a max of an iffy flex.
On half as many receptions (19 to QJ's 38), Tucker had comparable yards and just as many TDs. Tucker's YPR was 50% higher than QJ's (17 to 11), and he displayed more overall skill while on the field. I don't project Tucker as a surefire hit, but I'd rather take a chance on him than QJ.
As B2B champion, I trust the process I have in place -- that process says dump players who show little ability to soar. In a different league with deeper rosters, I'd probably hold QJ. In this league, I can do better than a guy who has trouble getting open and has trouble catching the ball. Even in a deeper league, if he had value I might look to trade QJ rather than hold on to what I consider a subpar fantasy player.
