1.1 Trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.1 Trade

Postby Bennyblanco22 » Sun Feb 04, 2024 3:29 pm

Team 3, bounced 1st round of the playoffs. Pretty much right in between rebuilding and go all in for the ship. Somewhat interested in trading down but wondering if this deal is the one.

Give: 1.1
Get: 1.5 & Pittman

I don’t think Pittman is a difference maker; I’d want a better deal piece

The 1.05 is a better pick given the format than a 1 QB, but I don't think the value is great overall. Pittman Jr. is good but not great and the 1.01 will only gain value in the coming months. Pass in general, but definitely in February. Hold the super valuable 1.01 for the coming frenzy.

I'd keep the 1.01 pick because IMO you need a QB.
Yes, you have 2 solid QB's, however, 2023 showed many of us that 2 QB's is not enough in SF leagues.
I have one SF league where I have Herbert, TLaw, and Watson, yet come week 17, I didn't have a single QB to plug into the QB slot.

I need at least 3 QB's to feel a little comfortable in a SF league, actually prefer 4 QB's due to the nightmare of 2023 QB carousel.
I have no interest in 1.05 unless I am positive I can get a top 3 QB there.

NFL had 58 different starting QB's in 2023, that is 26 extra starters.
I want to start 2 QB's every week, which means I need at least 3 solid starting NFL QB's.

Thank you guys for the insightful feedback. Thanks macdaddy for the thoughtful breakdown of the qbs.

Question(s) that keeps coming to mind though is: Is Caleb really far and away the best qb? Is Marv really going to produce elitely over Nabers and have similar value edge? So I'd like to get the 1.3 but either way you guys are right, I shall hold off on the Pittman/ 1.05 offer. To be continued!

I'd take Harrison. He is the safest bet in this draft IMO. Pittman isn't near enough to move to 1.05. Not even close for me.
