Trying to get 1.01 in 1 QB League

Henry and Diggs should hold little to no value for that owner. If I have the 1.1 I would need to get Puka back as part of any deal. I’d start with Olave +, then go from there. Hard for me to see Puka having more value than MHJr a year from now unless he ends up in a dogshit situation like NE.

So are you saying keep my guys and don't trade up? Or that it would take Olave + Puka to get it?

I think adding Lamar would help get the conversation going, be a really nice upgrade over what they have now. I would start with Lamar + Olave, add on Ford since he has Chubb, and see what he says.

I think at these prices I am perfectly fine holding onto my young WR core. MHJR has to be every bit as advertised to make this make sense. Trading for #1 is always a gamble....

I'm starting to lean that way. I hoped if I could move some depth/age it could work.

Lamar + Henry + Diggs + Ford +25 1st I could live with, but IDK if they'd even consider it.

olave warren and another piece is what i would try. tons of people are very into warren and think hes a sexy buy so i wouldnt assume the other guy wont have that high of value on him. people are even more into steelers run game with the addition of A smith as well

Agree with BigBawse. I’d try adding a couple of those smaller pieces like Warren on top of Olave and going that route but they will have to be pretty high on those guys for it to work. I think you could legitimately be looking at Olave AND Puka to get it done and I think I’m just out at that point. There’s a non zero chance that MHJ is never as good as either of those it’s. It’s unlikely but possible. MHJ almost definitely won’t have as good of a rookie season as Puka just had but you argue he’s a much better prospect with a brighter future. It really all depends on your outlook for Puka. I think the overall value of Olave and Puka for 1.01 is just way too much of an overpay but I’d probably be open to Puka or Puka and a small + to get there. If they’d do Pula and a 2nd I think that’s fair but I could easily see them demanding a 1st on top of Puka just based on the hyped value of the pick.

Your best bet may be to ask that owner if they like Olave or Puka more then slowly add a bit to whichever one it is until you get where they want it and see if you’re comfortable with that.

I put this out there, and it's double the value according to all calculators, but is it six quarters for a dollar? IDK.

Lamar QB3 + Henry RB12 + Ford RB14 (he has Chubb) + Diggs WR9 + Ferguson TE9 + 1.09 for the 1.01 + five scrubs.

That immediately takes him out of the cellar.
Most of these guys were top ten at their position last year.
Ford and Ferg are young, Lamar still relatively young. Henry and Diggs are older, I know.

We'll see. May or may not get their attention. I can live with these hits on my roster and still start:

Allen
Kamara, Jacobs/White/Warren/Edwards
Lamb, Puka, DJM, Olave, Harrison/Downs
Andrews

LOL. Lamar isn't a quarter, he's elite. Henry and Diggs are good, but fading. Ford is a backup, but flashed. Ferg, sure. I honestly think it makes their team better than just getting Harrison. They're not one piece away. We'll see. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?

Unfortunately, Diggs is no longer considered “good” on the market really. I know this from personal experience. He has rapidly plummeted into “washed until he proves otherwise” territory. I was able to thread the needle and move him for Waddle straight up the week before it seems like his market crashed. I think Diggs could actually be a good buy right now but buyers are not giving you what you think you deserve for him. I think you’re lucky to get 60-70 cents on the dollar right now and that doesn’t help your package offer very much.

If this owner is coming out of a rebuild with the mindset that he is building for a multi year run then your offer might actually be laughable to him. I’m not saying it’s a bad offer but I’m saying from their perspective it could easily be an auto decline. It’s taking on multiple pieces that are far more likely to fall off a cliff than they are to actually succeed. I can’t imagine someone that’s been in the basement for any length of time would be interested in that. You’re going to have to show them a future and it will have to include young studs.
