Making a run at Kyren Williams

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Making a run at Kyren Williams

Postby UsualSuspects » Tue Jan 30, 2024 5:01 pm

Team 1 in Signature-

Would you make a run at Kyren Williams by including Waddle + in a trade offer?

Starting Lineup would then be:

Hurts (Purdy backup)
Gibbs
Kyren (Javontae backup)
Aiyuk
Addison
Rice
Pickens (Downs/Brown/Davis backups)
LaPorta (Friermuth backup)

I am not sure it should take Wadde +. Waddle is still a good young WR. So no, that is too pricey.

I'd try a deal around Pickens for Kyren, but would definitely not be adding to Waddle.

2nd this - Perhaps Rice could be another option.

x2. Too pricey.

My guess is Kyren is tricky to trade for. Price will likely be too high for my blood given the risk associated with him.

X3. Not sure I would trade Waddle straight up. RBs too volatile right now but Williams is a great story. We will learn in 2024 if he will be counted on for the same volume.

I'd much rather include Addison in the trade than Waddle. Do you think the other guy would go for Addison+?

I'm higher on Kyren than most but wouldn't move Waddle for him as others have said.

I'd try and move Pickens for him and I'd be willing to add what I assume is a late 2nd as well if I needed to.

The pick is the 2.03.- still worth Pickens and the 2.03?

I’d be very careful trading for Williams I don’t really trust him moving forward and wouldn’t be giving up a premium asset like waddle to acquire him. I’d tier down a level or two and sweeten the deal with draft picks to acquire Williams and give up,as few high end assets as possible.

I personally would look for a different rb target
Qb: Hurts, geno Smith
Rb: JT, Gibbs, Montgomery, Roschon, Z. White, Ty Chandler
Wr: AJB, JJ, Chase, waddle, G Wilson
TE: Pitts, Kincaid, Likely, Njoku

2024 1.01, 1.04, 1.05
10 team
9 players kept yearly
Non PPR
Not super flex
Start 1/1/2/1/2 flex
1 point per first down
All tds 6 points

If you’re thinking about offering Waddle+ for him you should just abandon thinking about trading for a while.

I would make that trade but full disclosure I'm about as low on Pickens as you can get. To me Kyren did enough last year to be the lead back, even if they do bring in backfield competition in the draft or free agency. Some risk here, but I'd pull the trigger.

Interesting thoughts on Williams considering he was what top 5 rb with several games missed. I myself rather build around wrs, thus i like waddle more , but getting a top rb isnt cheap and i seriously doubt Pickens would work.
