Well, I changed my mind and gave it one last try. In the end we came to a deal. I kept the 2.01 and sent him the following that he accepted last night:

It may have been a mistake, or like Rich from the Dynasty Nerds always says "What may seem like an overpay today may actually be an underpay tomorrow"... at least that's what I'm hoping.

To get MHJ I think it's fine. Overpay? I mean—the 2.02 stings a LITTLE, but I don't care about the rest. And you keep your 2.01. And at the end of the day, have fun. IF that's your guy, go get him. None of my leagues are more than $100/year so draft your home team, have fun, "reach" for a guy, just don't cripple or blow your team up.
So often we say something like, "1.05 is too early" or "that's too much" but if Bowers turns out to be the next Kelce, nobody will care if his ADP was 1.09 and you took him a few picks early. If MHJ truly is generational (and his father's pedigree hints at that) then get him. No regrets.
I have only one shot at MHJ with the 1.02 in one Superflex TEP league. I'll live with Williams but really hope I get Harrison. In another league I'm working hard to get the 1.01 in a 1 QB league.
