The Packers never should have stuck with that kicker so long. Ends up biting them.

He still had a fantastic year 1. The Packers were the youngest team, and went toe to toe with the top ranked team after beating the 2nd ranked team, both on the road. The Packers future is bright. They did better than anybody expected. Bad throw by Love on the last drive, but Purdy was struggling too, the weather was a factor. The kicker cost the Pack dearly. Another year, and Special Teams is again their downfall.

This team should be a tough out for many years. The Packers have a really exciting young team, an extremely talented young QB, and organizational stability. They do need a new kicker, though. They made a mistake holding him this long.

So many breaks for the Packers in this game. It looked like they had it. Can't see Detroit or Tampa having the same fortunes on the road in what should be a game with better weather conditions as well.

Have to give props to Purdy. This was the situation people wanted to see him in. Needed a touchdown to win. 4th quarter. About 6 minutes left. He made the right plays and he made the throws to set up that McCaffrey touchdown. That was not a system QB drive.

Bad take on blaming the kicker. Can't blame this game on the GB kicker. Can't give the QBs a pass on weather and not the Kickers. Both teams had a missed FG opportunity. GB made the decision to go with young players and develop them, they drafted this kicker and will develop him too. GB was not about having 1 year rental type players.

Missed opportunities cost GB. 3 red zone trips in the first half, walked away with 6 points. Bad, Bad interceptions by Love. The great Purdy gifted GB a pick 6, but the defense failed to make the play. Their defense and their offense had a poor showing in the last two drives in the 4th quarter. Even if they had made the FG, the way they played the last two drives, GB was not going to beat SF in overtime.

And if Purdy plays another two games as poorly overall as this past game, they will be vulnerable to losing to anyone, Detroit and Tampa included. If Deebo is out next week, SF may be vulnerable.

SF is already vulnerable

Kicker has to make that kick.

Gotta kick it early or not rush the 4th and 1.

Purdy is very average.
12 Team, 1QB, 3WR, 2RB, 1TE, 1Flex, D, K, 10 Bench
1PPR, 0.5 point per carry.
Burrow, Richardson
AJ Brown, DJMoore, G Wilson, T Higgens, Sutton, Tillman, Melton
King Henry, Bijan, Pacheco, Mixon, Ford, JK
Hockenson, Musgrave
Random Kicker
Niners

Picks in 2024 - #15, #22, #23, #27

The kicker has been a problem all year. It's not ONE play that cost the game, but it was a huge miss. Gronk felt it was when they started to implode. It was a huge miss, from a distance that should be near automatic. The 2nd INT was due in part to being down, due to the miss. This is what happens when you have a kicker you don't trust. You press to make plays, knowing you'll likely need to get inside PTA range to feel even remotely safe, and with him missing 6 PAT's already, not sure that's even safe.

If it's a tie game, rather than the Pack trailing by 3, no way he throws that pass. He still shouldn't have, but again, teams with bad kickers tend to press sometimes. He's a weak link on this team, and the mistake was that he was still kicking come January, they should have dealt with it earlier than this.

Gotta imagine the majority of the country will be rooting for Detroit next week. Nice to see that franchise have some success!

I heard it from "sources" they are beating the Chiefs in the SB, because it's rigged. Cat got let out of the bag.

Honestly though, I think they have a real shot, but Goff needs to play well, and get some protection.

If the Niners weren’t still in it, I would be rooting for a Detroit versus Buffalo Super Bowl. Both cities are more than deserving of a trophy
