The value seems fine on paper, but Murray still needs to prove he can be a solid fantasy options next year and the 1.11 holds little value in this type of deal and if the 2025 1st ends up later than expected, I don't think it ends up good value.

I translate this to 4 1sts for Mahomes, so I agree with Gator that it looks fine on paper, but you are taking all the risk and that is why I would pass. 2025 looks to be an average draft as well.

i think this hinges on team build , I could see it in a full blown rebuild where u need capital but mahomes is the benchmark.

I think this comes down to philosophy. The safe play is definitely to hold Mahomes (as the others have all alluded to). But I would prefer to take the deal. It's just how I manage my teams. I'll take the risk on Murray (which I think is a solid gamble) and add the picks. This is a way to forestall or even avoid having to rebuild. But it could backfire.

Well, I feel same way about vacuum, that I do context haha. Its so very close, my brain kind of breaks typing which way I lean

Honestly, I think most people would say Mahomes, go with stud! But... I don't know, I think I'd keep Murray, IF you're really confident that 2025 is quite early.

Caveat - I think I'm way higher on Murray than consensus, I literally just traded for him yesterday in a deal many people on here disagreed with. I also don't understand why people devalue future picks more than current picks (if you're certain league will last). So, I guess I just have 2 opinions that lead to me landing where I am

I'm not sure it's necessarily that people devalue future picks, but I think it's more they overvalue current picks. Additionally, I think of it like money. Would you want $100 now or $100 next year? It's the same amount of money, but if you give me $100 right now I can invest it for a year and next year it'll be worth $110 next year. Same concept with draft picks. That said, I love trading for picks two years out when I'm rebuilding. They are cheapest two years out and sometimes you get lucky with an early pick that everyone expected to be later.

12tm this is totally a fair deal. Mahomes is obviously the most valuable piece but Murray plus a really nice pick that is enticing… you just cannot predict where a 2025 pick will land right now.
