How far up would you hope to trade by packaging 1.10/1.11

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

How far up would you hope to trade by packaging 1.10/1.11

Postby mzkp54 » Fri Jan 12, 2024 2:58 pm

12 team SF PPR IDP TE+ full rebuild.

I have picks 1.01, 1.03, 1.10, 1.11, 2.02, 2.07, and 2.09 in the first 2 rounds.

I’m debating packaging some picks to try and get more top talent. Another owner has picks 2, 4, 6, 7 in the first round, and another has pick 5.

What pick would you want if you were giving 1.10 and 1.11?

Realistically I wouldn't expect more the 1.07 and I wouldn't even count on that being accepted. The other guy might have his sights set on a player he knows will not be available at your two picks.

However, I'd still make the offer for whatever pick you want. Other managers might be happy to give up an earlier pick for two late 1sts.

If I had the 1.6 or lower I would pass, 1.07 -1.09 I would agree and I would wait until the draft to make sure I did not miss out on Odunze/Nabors/Bowers because I would kick myself if I gave up a pick where I could get a guy like that.

I think I'd rather have two bites at the apple unless I could get the 1.06 or better.

Would you trade 1.10 for a ‘25 1st? I already have 4 ‘25 1sts. The pick belongs to the team who earned 1.04 this year.

I like moving a late 1st for a better shot the following year but I think you need something on top. I’d ask for their 2024 2nd and the 2025 1st. Might seem like a bit much but it’s a value that a lot of owners spend to move into this year and get impatient. I just watched that exact trade happen in my league. 1.08 went for the 1.06 and 25 1st.

I would. I have the 1.10 and 1.11 in SF and would sell either for a 2025 1st. But I'm not shopping them until draft time. A rejection now muddies the waters for discussions when it really counts.

id prefer the 2 picks right now, this isnt something id really be exploring till after the nfl draft at earliest. i think sometimes these big brain moves where you are sure you are getting a better player can often backfire when you later realize a guy or 2 you liked fell or the community faded someone you are into just because of their landing spot (rice or reed for example this past year). but id say that 1.06/1.07 range is relatively fair just on values alone

I feel like 1.06 is probably the highest. SF and IDP helps a lot but the top of this class might make it hard to pry some of those picks away. I'd add a 2nd and shoot for 1.04. 1.07 is probably easy-ish to get but what's the point to only move 3 spots. I'd rather hold there I think depending on what things look like post-NFL Draft.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Tried for 1.04 or 1.05. Sounds like most I could get up to with both of them is 1.08 which obviously isn’t worth it. Ended up flipping 1.11 for a ‘25 1st (which was 1.04 this year). Going to hold off on any other moves for a bit. Thanks!

1.07-1.08 seems reasonable for now.

Not giving up one of the top 6 in SF at the moment..for that bad offer

Bad time to be making such a move. Nobody holding 1.04 or 1.05 would put much value in those later picks right now. Everyone's eyes are on the top rookies, and everyone wants to make sure they get a piece. I seriously doubt anyone gives you the 1.06 either without an add on your end. Just not a good value proposition at all right now. Hold the picks and don't jump the gun.

I would definitely try to get up to 1.07 now chances are it will be out of range of 1.10 and 1.11 closer to draft.
