Spot on here FF. Houston cut their “rebuild” to 1 year. The stars aligned!
Kind of crazy when you see it spelled out like this.
Agreed. Impressive job. All of this is anchored by Stroud. The other moves are great but they would be mostly for naught w/o the QB.
Agreed, but the coach, and team they put around him helped his success. Had Stroud had a different staff, no Tank Dell, etc etc etc., it might not have played out this way year 1.

Stroud is going to give him job security for a while, though, above all else.

For sure. My point is simply that w/o a QB, it all kind of doesn't matter. ATL replacing the HC is great and all but they need a QB to really unlock things

But what are his thoughts on sleepovers at Jerry's house?

Bill seems like a slumber party guy though, that'd be cute.

Johnson. Jerry has deep pockets, and isn't getting younger. They've got what they need there. He could get a massive deal, and come in saying he wants his personnel etc., if this game ends up this way.

Tons of weapons, lots of money, and a good D. If Jerrah wants a SB, and Johnson wants money, and a good spot to succeed, it might be it.

Honest question... does anyone think Dak Prescott can lead a Super Bowl team?

His weakness this game is on full display and is common to see in the playoffs. He can't throw to the outside with regularity and every defense just clutters the middle of the field.

His game works in the regular season but playoff football is a whole nother animal

Dak cannot, he wilts under pressure every time. Name that game he has pulled them out of the hole or beat a big opponent outside of the pathetic NFL east.

Yep, and add to that... there are better QB's littering the other teams that will always be in their way in the Post Season.

One of them is busy dunking on them as we speak. More will be entering the NFC this offseason (in all likelihood).

They need to get real about their ceiling as a Playoff team. And if they want to persist with this core... then they need to get real about finding a Coach that can instill an actual backbone for this team. A sense of resilience and identity.

With both McCarthy and Garrett, it's always been the same: as soon as you hit this team in the mouth, they fold like a cheap deck chair. Absolutely zero fight, and zero mental toughness. And it happens every year.

At least if you tell me Belichick is going there, that's an area I actually think he would improve. (That, and being detail-oriented / not beating yourself with dumb decisions and penalties)
