Trading for a WR

0.5 PPR. 12 Teams Starting QB, 2RB, 4WR, TE, FLEX

I am trading away Achane and a 25 2nd.
Got offered Jayden Reed by one owner and Devonta Smith by another.
Accept one of these offers or should I go for another WR??

D.Smith is a player that some folks like, others not so much. He's not the WR1 on his team and the target share more heavily favored AJB this year. Plus it seems Goedert eats in to Smith (and vice versa). That said, he's 25, his role is clear/secure, has an elite NFL QB and put up solid WR2 numbers. I'm on the pro-Smith side. I guess on value Achane/2nd isn't bad but I think you're paying full price. Probably an overpay if the 2nd is early, more or less fair value if it's late.

Reed - for sure showed signs of being the WR1 in GB. The WR room is crowded and Reed took advantage of injuries to show his stuff. There's a lot of upside in trading for him although he carries more risk than Smith. The Reed owner needs to add to the deal. I'd say the gap between each of these players is about the same - so the Reed owner needs to come up with the 2nd in this case.

My advice: If the 2nd is relatively late and this move helps your roster construction, I like moving Achane for Smith as long as the 2nd is relatively late.

If you do the Smith one I'd remove the 2nd. Like t said, he is his teams WR2 and does not have the target share that commands that a 2nd be added to Achane.

I like making the move for Smith but would try to hold out your 2nd. I also would not rush anything as Achane will have major hype value as the offseason goes. It is probably too early to make this kind of deal if the pick is involved.

Achane hype, legit or not, should net a WR 1 on his own. Owners that value RB over WR should be your targets, go big, get a WR1.

achane for me and i love smith but ya hes not gonna see even close to the volume achane will. he would need ajb to go down to start getting funneled targets imo
