I think it's likely Payton saw what he needed to from Russ and it's not what Payton wants. He inherited Russ. They will cut him and work on getting a QB for next year. Whether it's stidham, a rookie, or another player. Wonder if Payton would like Jameis.

To be fair, the QBs they passed up were Justin Fields and Mac Jones. Although I don’t fully agree with the QB vs CB sentiment they voiced at the time, I’d rather have Patrick Surtain on my franchise than either of those QBs.

I’m pretty nervous. Yes, he’s been great. But his 300 yard games have all come against bottom 10 (two of which are bottom 6) defenses in terms of pass yards given up. His lowest yardage game (Rams) is also bottom half of the league for pass defense. Just concerned this is all a mirage. Haha

My leagues are -4 per interception also, so the last couple weeks have had some impact there.

I look forward to seeing what he can do {and hoping he doesn't get concussed again!} as the Vikes have little chance of doing any damage if by some miracle they get into the playoffs. Makes more sense to start seeing if they have anything in Hall

In what could be the biggest mistake of my season I'm benching Mahomes to start Jaren Hall in a championship game vs this Packers D that has surrendured 3 consecutive QBs their career games.
