With injuries and pure variability. In most leagues you literally need to build an inhuman roster which is super unlikely to occur if you are playing with savy league mates in 12+ team rosters.

Or, wait for it, it is part of the game. It affects ALL teams in the league. Your WR 4 and 5 are almost as important as your starting WRs. Same with your RB 3-5, they WILL get called up at some point. Just as they will for other teams.

Getting to the playoffs consistently is a skill.

Even with a stacked team, though.. the playoffs are about 60% luck.

I lost 5 players that got injured in the 1st 2 drives of the game in 2 of my 3 leagues.. them's the breaks.

I wasn't comfortable with starting him this week so I picked up Stafford off waivers and started him instead, looks like that will pay off

So true, and agree on all counts. I used to get frustrated about it, but at the end of the day all we can do is set our lineups and hope for the best. Not going to work out for me this year, and I lost more players (4) in the last two weeks than I had all year. But it's nothing I can control, so time to look forward to next season and making the moves I can make to hopefully improve.

We're on to 2024! Sorry to hear your teams suffered the late season injury bug too Sriracha.

That garbage tackling on Deebo's 4th down conversion probably sending me to 0-2 in semis this week...ugh. MFL odds are garbage but it had me at 99% to win about 10 minutes ago. Knew Lamar getting stuffed at the 1 would come back to bite me.

Well as the dust settles:

5 playoff games:
2 (teams 1&2) 2 week, 4 team, all play
Team#1 currently in second down by 6 points
Team#2 currently in first,.up by 30

3 traditional semi
Team #3 - won going for back to back in finals next week
Team #4 - lost - no prize money for third so that's it
Team #5 - lost - small prize for third so will be playing in that next week.

A little disappointed but hey still in 3 finals.
