12tm PPR SF Bestball - this is an aging roster that just missed the playoffs, is headed toward QB purgatory (Fields was the only starter), and needs a complete overhaul. I wanted to land a foundational piece as Fields' ever-looming uncertainty probably isn't the best thing for a rebuild

Gave: Fields + DJM + Mixon + R.White
Got: Herbert + Addison + Spears

I don’t love it but I figure, (per KTC), I went from:

WR16 —> WR14 (even though I personally like DJ more. Owner wouldn't have accepted without the stack)
RB27 —> RB23
and paid Rachaad White to move from Fields to Herbert

If I frame it that way, I’ll take it

Agreed. I think Fields probably has some staying power as a starter (somewhere), and will be productive for fantasy. But I don't think the stink of him *probably* not being a long-term franchise guy will continue to deflate his dynasty value. Not exactly someone I want to build around

Either CHI keeps him and would therefore be committing, or he's traded and draws at least a 2nd rounder... a team paying that will definitely start him.

Lance and Fields are not comparable here, much larger body of work for Fields

Herbert probably the most overrated QB in fantasy, and AOC is probably one of the most underrated!
