I tried selling and couldn't even sniff a late 1st. So I guess he's a hold

Same. His theoretical value may be a mid-first, but no one in any of my leagues is remotely interested at that price.

This should rebound pretty majorly once your league gets into the offseason / advanced stats. It'll increase if he gets locked up long term especially.

He's been immense. I'd pay a Late 1st yesterday to get a 6'4 215lb share in that situation, putting up those kind of numbers.

Definitely agree with the bolded. Stroud's value will skyrocket in off-season, if there is a healthy extension PLUS no 1st or 2nd round WRs taken, he's easily worth the 1.6 come May. Age, production, situation, no significant injury history. I think he'll have a healthy market at that value, but we have to see how the cards fall.

That’s really surprising given his age and production. He has nice size as well.

I’d give up a late 1st in a heartbeat.

Agree with the possible Collins' value increase in the offseason if things fall into place. I have one share, but have not looked into purchasing more to this point.

Based on how good Stroud has looked this year, one move I recently made and figured I'd post about in case anyone else is interested in hopping on the train; Add Brevin Jordan if he's on your waiver wire. I'm thinking/hoping that Schultz will be gone after this year, and if that happens, you might just get a relevant piece of an ascending passing game for free.

Could do worse for a free lottery ticket that might pay off in 2024.

If a team has WR depth and is finding it difficult to get good value for Nico, I think the smart thing is to trade other WRs that are performing less but other managers want to pay more to get.

For instance, you should be able to get a haul for WRs like Waddle, Olave, London, Addison, JSN, DKM, etc. Don't feel stuck, just make a smarter trade.

It makes so much sense to me to get a haul for Olave and keep Nico. Nico is putting up numbers Olave managers are dreaming about. If someone in your league really undervalues Nico and overvalues Olave, offer that guy your Olave and cash in while the cashing pays well. You'll get to keep the better WR and you'll improve your team elsewhere! That's a big win to me.

This goes back to a core debate. How is value actually determined?

In my opinion value is generated by weighing the ROI/Production output in comparison to the cost to acquire. So if Waddle, Pickens, Flowers, G. Wilson, Addison, Metcalf and Olave have a higher acquisition cost/market price - despite all of them being outproduced by Nico this year, then technically Nico is by definition the better value. If I needed to make a trade I would personally much rather keep my share of Nico whose value should rise with the tide and become more stable than hold a WR like London, Jeudy, Pickens, Addison, Wilson or Olave who at any point could have (or still could) fetch you as much, if not more than Nico, but yet are in unsteady situations.

By the way just as a poll, would anybody here trade Nico Collins and a late 1st for Josh Jacobs right now? Asking for a friend

It's determined by how much someone else is willing to pay. That's it. Now what someone else is willing to pay comes down to some more variables, including production, but also taking into account age, skill level, situation, projections, etc. which is why Nico isn't, and shouldn't be valued the same as a guy like Wilson or Olave (or probably even London). Those guys have now confirmed that their skill levels translated to the NFL despite situation. It took Nico three years to finally get the perfect situation to do well, while the other two have balled out regardless. I'm all for Nico being tied to Stroud, who looks great, but situations change quickly. Nico could be back with a bum under center as soon as 2025 and Olave/Wilson could get massive upgrades at the position.

I'd love to have Nico on any roster (or Tank Dell for that matter), but I think I'll still hold onto my Wilson and Olave shares. Those two look like players who are just barely scratching the surface to me. Imagine the numbers they'd be putting up with Stroud rather than Zach Wilson and the walking cadaver that is Carr in 2023...

Not sure I would trade either asset alone for Jacobs. But I am pretty low on him.

No way they let him walk, at this point in a year, is there? Stroud's go to guy when it mattered most. What a game.

He's very, very good. Good old 3rd year breakout. Stroud has been amazing as well so the situation is a huge plus all of a sudden. I still like Tank. If he's healthy, I think it's a 1a, 1b situation. But plenty of the pie with Stroud slinging it. Great win today for this team all around.

Yeah he's a low WR1 at this point

Tank vs Nico is closer than I thought

I'd take Nico quite easily, myself. At least, I wouldn't trade Nico for Tank, and would trade Tank for Nico, not sure what it would take to switch the two.

It's not like either are bad options. Stroud on a rookie deal, and Dell too, they can afford to extend Nico, and I think they will.
