Limited practice today. The fact he practiced, AND the released Ertz, suggests he might play, IMO.hoos89 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 8:20 pmAnd here I thought it was overkill to have Andrews, McBride and Engram on one team.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 1:27 pm He may not play this week. Not practicing, and a bye next week. Don't be surprised if he sits, and gets a few weeks to recover (groin).

Apparently the hamstring was fine. 8/9 for 89 and a TD... pair this guy up with MHJr next year and it is going to be a fun ride.
In one of my TEP/SF startups this year I punted on year one but loaded up on TE. Heading into next year with the 1.01, 6 additional 1sts, Purdy and ARich, and then LaPorta/McBride/Kincaid (plus Musgrave and Mayer). Looking forward to filling this team out as it should be an immediate contender year 2.

I doubt they get Marvin, though. They will win too many games. Well, it will come down to the Bears game. They'll lose to SF and Philly. They play the Bears and the Seahawks, both winnable games.

He's gotta be top 5 TE at this point right? Kelce, Andrews, Hockenson, Laporta and maybe Kincaid in a pretty interchangeable tier.

Yep. I'd take him over Kelce. I am not sure how much longer he intends to play, and he's not a league wrecker, at this point. I honestly wouldn't trade him for Andrews right now, in my heavy TEP league. I am contending, to add context.ButtFumbleCity wrote: ↑Sun Dec 03, 2023 6:17 pm He's gotta be top 5 TE at this point right? Re: Trey McBride: It’s Time to Take Notice
My only worry is that he's getting all these targets because the AZ WR room is trash....i mean, of course i'd target McBride over Greg Dortch! If they add a competent WR or 2, does he fall down the list to 3-4 targets per game or does that help him get open in the middle of the field?
don't get me wrong i'm pumped i have him backing up Andrews, just want to make sure my expectations are correct moving forward...

Re: Trey McBride: It’s Time to Take Notice
That's a fair concern but it's not just the targets, he looks the part too. Adding someone like MHJ will eat into his target percentage but would also elevate the offense as a whole and give him more opportunities.KCLep20 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 7:56 am My only worry is that he's getting all these targets because the AZ WR room is trash....i mean, of course i'd target McBride over Greg Dortch! Re: Trey McBride: It’s Time to Take Notice
I think it's a plus, not a minus when someone is able to produce without any other competent players to draw coverage. If the Cardinals draft MHJ his target share might go down but I think that's a "rising tide lifts all boats" scenario.ButtFumbleCity wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 9:01 amThat's a fair concern but it's not just the targets, he looks the part too. Re: Trey McBride: It’s Time to Take Notice
X3 on the above. Not saying their the same, but Kelce and Hill did just fine both being top tier players in the same offense… my concern is more the QB than anything. Hopefully they can turn it into an offense that doesn’t disappear for entire games and is more sustained… that would ‘raise all boats’.

Re: Trey McBride: It’s Time to Take Notice
Kyler has been pretty solid since returning other than this week, and that could maybe be chalked up to the terrible weather. There's also no true WR1 on that offense (apologies to Hollywood Brown stans) so have to think he could reasonably go from a ~240 yards/game passer (excluding this week) to ~275+ by adding a generational talent at the position.Shcritters wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 10:25 am X3 on the above.
