Maybe Akers wasn't that good. OR, his injury destroyed him. Let it go, man. It's OK. It didn't work out, for a varitety of reasons. Akers was a raw player, who got hurt too much to have the requisite time to develop the necessary skill set to be a top end NFL RB. Dobbins, Akers, Swift to a certain extent.... that entire RB class, is a bunch of what could have beens. Sigh.

He's playing well, but it's really a lot of YAC and Shanny today. I think, it's between him and Dak, if Hurts misses time. If The Cowboys can beat the Eagles, and win the division, Dak will get it. If not, it may be Brock.

Mike Evans is so good. Too bad Baker isn't. Good lord, what a miss. Evans is a HOF'er.

Baker may not be very good, but Mike Evans QB held him back last year..

He already beat Dak this year.

Shouldn't matter if YAC and coaching helps. Every great QB benefits from it. He's executing the offense and is doing it at an elite level.

Not sure why teams don't just take about 3 DL and jump on top of Hurts. If you're going to give it up, might as well make him feel it. Nothing illegal, just pile on him, rather than try and get low on the Center. Have 3 DL jump over the C/G, and land on Hurts. Every time. That's how I'd do it, if I was a DC.

Agree. That and go off sides a few times to blow up the Center, Guards and QB. Not necessarily go off sides, but jump the snap. I would do that to piss them off and hopefully get a personal foul out of it on the offense.

Bryce Young ain't it. Sorry. He doesn't even see the field well when he has time. His lack of arm strength was really obvious today, and he just doesn't see the field well, either. Sanders was an easy first down, so were other reads there on 4th. I don't see anything that suggests he can be an upper echelon NFL QB. Not one thing, and I see a bunch of things that will clearly prevent him from being so.

Baker's been playing injured for the past month and a half but has somehow managed to stay top 10 in avoiding turn over worthy throws and has locked onto Mike Evans as the dude.

Part of me wonders if he'd look like a decent QB if he stopped doing dumb bleep like inviting contact and headbutting teammates without his helmet on

I was debating not starting him as they're playing the stingy Browns defense. Glad I didn't cave to that over analysis. Dude gets the job done. I love that he gets a handful of catches. Really weird that they had him returning a punt at the end of the game...
