For me, it would depend on what the high is. Give me a late 1st for Rice and I'm doing it.

Offer me a late 2nd and I'd probably hold and see what he does. Of me a 3rd and I'm definitely holding.
Totally sell high. He is the Skye Moore of 2024. We know how KC uses WRs and that isn’t going to change until Kelce retires to start making babies with Swift

Rice is a buy. He's leapfrogged every WR on the team in short order and is checking out in a lot of key statistical areas. His route running has been picking up as the season progresses.

Kansas City will definitely look to upgrade their WR room in the offseason, but Rice will be important to what they do going forward.

Ain't no way you just compared Rice's rookie year to Skyy Moore's? Right? :nono:

The comparison makes no sense on any level. Aside from being second round picks of KC. Lazy lazy.

I wasn’t a big Rice guy he was boom or bust to me but he certainly landed in the right spot. Aside from MVS he’s their only weapon at WR. He’s locked into WR2/WR3/flex range as long as he’s healthy for the next few years.

The draft pedigree is what I was saying…. I’m not a hater for Rice, just that he is only scoring the like around Tutu, Tee Higgins and Boyd. Certainly not sniffing anywhere near WR2 land. Just temper expectations especially being on KC.

I don’t think Rice is a “sell high”. He could easily get the 47+ mark. I think everyone below the rice/Reed group is probably a sell though at this point. They’d have to average at least 60ypg from this point on, and that just seems unlikely. Maybe JSN has the name and star power to command those targets to get there but not sure anyone else does. We’ll see though.

Would be nice if Reed made it. He seems legit. Would be nice to have confirmation. Douglas, hard to say. About 30 of his yards came from some wack reception at the end of the half when the defense was only guarding against a Hail Mary.

Does that matter all that much?
Without that single play he has been at 47 ypg the last 4 games.

Holy crap. He’s barely through the first half of his rookie year and is trending into a definite need area for an elite QB. There’s never guarantees but I’m not getting the glass half empty position given what we’ve seen so far.

Full disclosure - no dog in the hunt with Rice.

In the face of some atrocious QB play no less. I can’t help but wonder if the levels DD created couldn’t be further refined by attaching QB ypg to WR ypg. WRs are almost exclusively reliant on their QB for their production and there’s been some piss poor QBing in some places this season.

@trc, no in theory it shouldn’t matter. But if we are projecting forward, I’m just saying receptions like that aren’t sustainable.

And @broncobilly, I actually do plan on creating something like that. Will take a lot of work which is why I’ve been putting it off, but I’ll get around to it eventually.
