Which Bengal TE to own?

I’m in dire need at TE. All 3 of my TEs are on IR- Goedert, Waller, Ertz. I picked up Bellinger and Juwan Johnson to try and get me over, but I’m contemplating picking up either Irv Smith or Tanner Hudson.

Which one is the better one to own? Or would you just roll with the 2 that i have? With Chase and Higgins iffy, I wonder if one of the Bengals TE (or maybe even both) will be a good play this week.

I definitely prefer Irv to the other guy, but neither is particularly appealing. Whether or not Irv is worth an add would depend largely on who you’d have to drop to make room for him. Assuming your sig is up to date, I wouldn’t drop any of those players for Irv. That just leaves your D/STs. I don’t play in any leagues that use them, but I can’t imagine holding three of them is the best use of roster space. I know the Chiefs D is really good, so maybe drop whichever is worse between the Phins and Bills…

Yep but there are 31 other teams with TEs. I wouldn’t spend a lot on a Bengals TE. Burrow didn’t even use them much at LSU when he made history.

I am about out on Smith. He drops a lot of balls and fumbles too. Kind of reminds me or Eric Ebron. I like Johnson but Hill has destroyed his value. I think I am holding pat here.

I mostly agree with this post ^, unless teams in your league hoard DSTs that is. If that is the case, I wouldn't even drop one of those for Irv. Can you activate Okonkwo from the taxi squad and use him without having to drop someone?

Both feel pretty hopeless. I’d prefer juwan Johnson over both for sure. If you have to take one I’d lean Irv

My sig was not updated but now it is. I could drop Minshew, since I have Levis on taxi if need be. I have had the thought of dropping a D, but teams are hoarding them, which is why I’ve kept 3. Miami is the worst of the bunch, but they have a great schedule coming up after the bye- LV, NYJ, WSH, TEN, NYJ.

Teams do hoard defenses, which is why I’ve been holding 3. I have updated my sig now, so I could drop Minshew if needed. I’m currently holding 2 K’a, but after this week I’ll have an open roster spot.

Thank you all for the input. One reason I was thinking of one of these was because Higgins being out and Chase looking iffy for Sunday.
