I realize this, which adds to the likelihood it's also his. It's just like the Achane game, which I also said was likely his career game. I am aware. It's just the probability. It's not taking away from what they did. The expectation that a game like this is duplicated, should be low, that's all.

Yeah, that second "very" was probably misleading.

Even if this game is the best fantasy game of his career, I think the game bodes well for his career turning out better than most of the QBs active today.

I don't look only at weekly finishes to make my decisions. That is one possible factor but there is a bigger picture available for us than that.

For instance, I consider his completion pct, low interception pct, his composure under different situations, the wins he's led his team to, roster composition, coaches ... and more. Some rookie QBs match him in some areas, and fall short in others. But taking all the metrics into account, and not ignoring his record breaking game this week, I have a good idea of where I think his potential lies.

Texans are 4-4 right now. If they make the playoffs, I think Stroud is a legit MVP candidate as it stands right now. He should be anyways, really.

Too bad that wasn’t his real rookie season….has only come close a handful of times since, let alone in the same year. In fact Mahomes has averaged 2 400 yards passing games per year since the first year he did it.

His 8.5 air yards per pass attempt are the fifth-most in the NFL entering Week 10
his 14-1 touchdown-to interception ratio leads the NFL entering Week 10
his 102.9 passer rating is the fourth-highest in the league entering Week 10.
he's the only player ranking top five in both categories (Air Yards and INT%) this year.

Just read this and I was genuinely stunned. I thought I'd kept up with all the fantastic stuff CJS has done this season, but these are some lofty metrics halfway through his rookie season.

Being 5th, 1st and 4th in these (and ranking high in other areas) indicates to me that CJS is going to be able to keep it going for the rest of the season and off into future seasons. party over here!
