How does ATL get a top 3 QB selection given the makeup of the rest of the team? This is a team that ought to finish near .500. Vegas has their O/U at 8.5 wins.
Vegas is an excellent place to begin projecting. 8.5 sounds nice but even the worst teams have a total O/U of 6.5 (Texans, Bucs) They’re putting the Falcons in a range of teams that are projected to do (below) average, it’s not an outstanding projection.

This has more to do with the betting market, not an outright projection.

Right. And the O/U is set based on a loose projection and normalizes with betting. My guess is everyone will be betting the under and the line will move accordingly.

So ATL was 7-10 last year and the expectation is that they’ll be the same or worse? Seems off to me a bit.

Ridder would have to be such a dumpster fire. Their defense is significantly better going into this year.

I'd honestly put them in strong consideration for that division. Favorite is NO, but ATL wouldn't surprise me at all if they won either. Haven't looked at schedules but ATL finished last in the division so I assume theirs is easiest.

Saints have a significant edge at QB. I think 9 wins takes that division.

Warren Sharp projected the Saints and Falcons as the top 2 easiest schedules by quite a margin.

Worst starting QB in the NFL, and it's not really close at this point. Amazing that Arthur Smith is willing to go down this way.

Yep Wilson or Fields at least break off a nice play every now and then

Ridder was not all that good in college or possessing of any kind of special trait. I thought very highly of Arthur Smith as an OC but it turns out he's just a bum. Setting up that Ridder/Tyler Allgeier/Jonnu Smith offense just to "own" the fantasy crowd by proving the forward pass is unnecessary

One of the few spots I think would be good for Kyler Murray if Arizona is actually in position for Caleb

Though knowing Art he'll bring in Justin Fields or something

I had decent hopes for Ridder as my young QB3 on my roster, so far I have been been so wrong and really hurting my Pitts share.

Based on what? Atlanta is low twenties on most major stats. He’s certainlly not good, but he’s flashed here and there. Early to tell at this point.
