Re: Jonathan Taylor is your 1.01 now.
I'll be interested to see how the JT paradox works out in the end.
If JT performs well, he will likely get the tag that he wants to avoid.
If JT plays poorly, he could become the free agent that he desires to be.

What if he balls out for 2 games and then promptly "injures his hamstring whilst training at the team facility"?MacDaddy123 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 7:03 pm I'll be interested to see how the JT paradox works out in the end.

He's BACK! (allegedly, maybe, supposed to play but then again maybe he just gives the big FU Sunday at 1:01 after pulling up with an "injury" on first play.)

I could've really used Moss this week too. Tempted to still start him but feels too risky

26.5M guaranteed as well. Not bad at all, from where they seemed to be this offseason

26.5 M, really. Still not bad. Barkley turned that down, reportedly, and I'll bet he wished he'd taken it right now.

Re: Jonathan Taylor is your 1.01 now.
Good on him for holding out and getting a deal more commiserate to his talents and to-date production. Guaranteed long term money for a RB! A wild thought.
That's the most guaranteed money handed out this offseason to an RB by a LONG shot. Miles Sanders was previously leading the offseason with 25.4 overall / 13 guaranteed / 4 years. This contract (42 / 26 / 3 years) absolutely smashes that one, and is close to comparable to the CMC deal on a per-year salary basis. (They're both around 14 mil p/y but CMC got way more in the signing bonus)
Pretty impressive given how poor JT's leverage was (outside of leading the position in scrimmage yards over the last 3 years).
Chalk one up for the good guys. I'm happy to see him get the bag, he deserved it.

I'm happy for him too. Just kind of wondering, aside from Irsay's ego, why they couldn't have managed to work this out prior to Week 1. Certainly would have been better for the team (and us fantasy guys!) if they had. After all, they did end up paying the man in the end anyway.mild wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 1:53 pm Good on him for holding out and getting a deal more commiserate to his talents and to-date production. Maybe there is no reason other than Irsay's ego.

Yeah, we’ll probably never know. Taylor also could have been asking for more and finally came down a little for all we know.Shoreline Steamers wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 2:15 pmI'm happy for him too. That wasn't so hard was it dolts.
Should have been done smoothly before the season began. To think all that drama over a few million dollars. They got him for 3 years, for a total that's cheaper than the per year amount the giants have to pay Daniel Jones. Talk about a screwed up market.
