I hate the "talent" debates. I hate the eye-test calculations. I hate most everything that isn't stats driven. Results is results. And Purdy's real life and fantasy results say he's a screaming buy. Hands down. No logical way to argue he's not.

The best part of this story, aside from how great this is for Brock as a person and athlete who's getting an unlikely chance to do what he loves; if you took the dive out of the gate he likely cost you nothing to acquire.

Those are the sweetest wins in our hobby.

14 team 2 QB league: was trying to solve QB2 last year and but Jimmy G. Didn’t want to pay asking price, was thinking about his injury history, looked at the depth chart, picked up Purdy off the waiver wire. Sometimes lucky.

That's exactly how most of the people who grabbed Purdy got him.

Same thing happened with Geno the year before and might be happening again with Dobbs this year.

I wonder what other franchise QBs are hidden out there holding a clip board.

Meanwhile NFL teams keep treading out the Ridders and Wilson's of the world

I stand corrected on Elway, but I'm not budging on Montana. Mr "Bird Legs" def didn't scare anyone 1 on 1.

Cool quote from his coach today:
Kyle Shanahan’s response to those who say that Brock Purdy is still largely a product of the system:

“That's pretty ridiculous. You’ve just got to watch the tape. He plays at a high level every time he is been out there. And he's done it in a lot of different situations versus a lot of different defenses, on the road, at home, playoff games, when injured. You can't do all that stuff, he's been out there too long. It's on tape”

This is going to get interesting. Purdy has to be heavy in the mix right now for MVP (if not, the frontrunner).

+ Leads the league in passer rating
+ Leads the league QBR
+ Leads the league in EPA/play
+ Hasn't thrown an interception
+ Has a ridiculous 9.3 Y/A (10.7 adjusted)
+ 72.1 completion %

He's been nothing short of elite so far.

Even more impressive considering, he didn't have a real offseason rehabbing from his injury.

Are you looking for disagreements? Whether or not I'd choose him as my pick, I can't mount an argument against him. Purdy has been phenomenal.

The zero interceptions part is most impressive to me, for a player playing on that level. Simply brilliant.

btw, where are all the Brock Purdy haters? When I tried to tell everyone how good he was last year in December and everyone couldn't wait to shut me down. Jigga, Remedy, Olmansmith, BabyChark, JoeJoe88, etc. Where are all you haters!? Are you on board yet or are you guys still moving the goal posts?

Actually, I called him "special" in the pre-season of last year. I forgot about that. This kid has the "it" factor and I saw that before any NFL games were even played. It's super easy to spot when your damn team hasn't had it for decades... so frustrating... but it's here now! Woo!
