It’s nearly enough to put me off fantasy football. I can’t even enjoy his success or root for him

With all the scouting and analytics the intangibles are becoming more important than ever and we don’t really have access to personalities and drive/work ethic. Seems more like a crap shoot all the time.

Yes, I’m a little bitter about it.

Come on, man. I am all on the Puka train after another few weeks, but come on. It's a tad early here. If you nail this take, we'll all hail you, but you have to take some criticism if not. Hot takes need to be given hot criticism if they miss, IMO. This is beyond bold. We're 4 games in here.

Draft capital aside, Boldin really seems to be the best comp right now

It’s a hot take for fun and when Kupp comes back it will be a different story.

But I don’t think I can look past the production when no one else is drawing attention away from him. If you replaced him with any of the first round rookie wrs they would be the wr3 right now, even under this perfect situation, . He is on pace for the greatest season of all time, let alone for a rookie.

Do I think he can keep it up? No. Just statistically speaking no. But I’m being proved wrong week after week. I think most skepticism/criticism has ALOT of emotion behind it. Mostly envy.

Not the next Jerry Rice, but he is tied to a perfect scheme for the foreseeable future with Stafford carrying dead cap hits of ~$30m in 2024 and 2025. I'm not worried about Kupp, I think they'll play complementary until Kupp gets injured again.

Agree with the Boldin comp. Getting a WR1/WR2 for multiple years for basically nothing is a massive win in dynasty.
12 Team - PPR - 30man (2 IR) - 6pt PPTD- 1 QB - 2 RB - 2 WR - 1 Flex - 1 TE

Yeah i wasn’t overly impressed with the offer. I’m rebuilding in a 10 team superflex. I have him on my taxi squad so he isn’t hurting me with his points. Not even sure I want to sell him, but I would be stupid not to field offers. Just not sure what to look for.

Great for Puka to be able to learn from Cooper Kupp for another year or 2, if Kupp lasts that long.

I feel like a ton of his receptions are on in-breaking routes, though don't have data, but the kid is balling. Great story, day 3 WR, this is what Dynasty is about. Trade him, hold him, regardless, good on anyone who took him. I didn't even scout him, TBH.

Atwell and Nacua look like 2 nice picks for this offense, for the future.

Yeah, pretty maddening if you thought you were like half-way decent at dynasty and... still missed on somebody like Puca by a million miles.

Use to be good at prospecting/drafting WR, terrible at RB, then finally fixed RB to a decent level (big thanks to these forums!) and now I feel like I'm bad WR!

While the WR landscape has changed a ton in the last decade (not sure I like it either, aesthetically), it's also true that no matter the year or era, there will always be a few shockers. :surprised:

This is crazy and true. Puka first got on my radar after the OTA endorsements from Kupp. I saw some interviews where Kupp was giving Puka a ton of praise. Figured he would be a solid depth asset at worst, but had no idea he would light the league on fire like this.

How I got my shares:
  • At the 5.01
  • Sent a random 24 3rd (back in Jun) - I feel bad for this owner because he didn't want to move him, and I "overpaid" at the time with the 3rd, as his value was a 4th at that time.
  • Pre-Week 1 WW - $222/1000 FAAB. By this time I thought he would be on more peoples' radars since it was clear that he would at least settle as the WR3 behind Jefferson, and Kupp was injured. Surprised that next highest bid was only $22

How was he still on waivers September 30th? There were 3 weeks sample by then.
