This weekend will be quite interesting for Watson imo.

Tennessee have the top ranked Rush Defense, and no Chubb means Watson won't have that crutch to rely on. (Jerome Ford might be nice, but at this point he's still a Day 3 guy that we all found on waivers)

If you want to beat Tennessee, you have to do it through the air - where their secondary is made of chewing gum and dreams. From Winks' writeup:
The Browns are 31st in passing EPA per dropback through two weeks, after ranking 25th in the metric in Watson starts late last year. It's somewhat of a last call opportunity this week against the league's biggest pass funnel defense. The Titans were 30th against fantasy QBs last year and are 5th in passing yards allowed so far this season. Cleveland is likely to flip their neutral pass rate (47% so far) based on matchup and Nick Chubb's season-ending injury, but it's unclear if he'll ever feel comfortable again. His time to throw and pressure-to-sack rates are once again well ahead of his Houston averages. At least he's chucking the ball deep.
If he can't get it done against an incredibly weak secondary this weekend... then it might be time to panic.

Never understood people giving up on him after changing offenses. Studs stay studs. Hope you learned.

Weak secondary, but really good game. Love the victory lapping after what he's supposed to do almost every week. We shall see how it goes. Browns have a good team. Unless Watson is a top 3-5 QB, the trade was still horrendous.

Haters gonna hate though, right?

He did. He looked much better. Watson had easily his best game since his return. We'll see how it goes without Chubb, against stronger secondaries, but Browns/FF managers are breathing a huge sigh of relief right now. Still a long way from being worth what they gave up, but at least they have some optimism for at least a week.

Watson is still a good player, when he's on, clearly. We'll see if consistency in bad weather etc as the season gets on, and his mobility he used to lean on so heavily is there, over the length of this deal. This D is a championship level D. Anything less, and the deal the Browns made (excluding FF) is a loss.

Even in Watson's bad first 2 games, his stats weren't bad. Today, he looked a little like his old self... mybe 80%. I though his accuracy looked better and he looked more mobile, avoiding pass rush better. Lots more to come and I think it'll be a bumpy ride but it was encouraging to see him put it together for at least one afternoon. Let's see how the next few go.
14 TM / Devy / SuperFlex / TEP

I'm with you, but we expected it. This Tennessee secondary has now given up a 300 yard day to Derek Carr, a 300 yard day to Justin Herbert, and a 290 yard one to Watson. It's what they do.

I would still like to see Watson carve up a good Secondary.

They host the Ravens, then the 49ers next two weeks. Let's see him perform well against those...

Titans don't have the most talented secondary, but they're still a defense that held New Orleans to 16 points in Week 1 and made enough plays to beat Herbert in Week 2. Pretty impressive for their offense considering how big a differencemaker Chubb is for them.

People have been victory-lapping after two games. What's the difference?

Two games (plus today). Last year was always a throwaway year for reasons that should be obvious.

Looked like Cleveland spread the field out with 3 and 4 wide sets today. Watson looks to be much better playing like that vs under center with a run base system. I still think that the wide spread offense will not play well in Cleveland come November and December.
