This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Jerome Ford Trade Value Thread

Postby BabyChark23 » Tue Sep 19, 2023 3:26 am

12 team 2QB PPR

Is this the time to cash out on our free add? He had the big game stat wise, but most of it was on a single 80 yard run. Looked replaceable outside of that. What is the tipping point between sell and hold? A 2nd?

I agree. If I was buying, I wouldn’t want to spend more than a 2nd, but as a seller, I’m not sure I want to send him away for that (maybe if I’m very confident it’ll be an early 2nd).

Does K Hunt finally re-sign here? He's a plug and play player if they bring him in, so that could hurt his value. I'd look to move him soon. I like the idea of the other post, offer up Ford and your 2nd for a 1st, is the Chubb owner a possibility? Good luck.

I feel like it makes a lot of sense except he doesn't really replace Chubb. They need a thumper.

I offered a 2nd to a member in our league. I feel that's a good price currently, but I doubt it gets accepted.

Side note: potential Michael Carter trade incoming? Two teams who have traded in the past. Jets signed cook and Breece is unhappy with his touches. Izzy waiting in line to take the RB3 role. Chances are slim but my fantasy team hopes for it!

I think they sign Lenny. Give him a one year prove it deal. Let's him build up some value for next off season.

If you can get a 1st, I think it's good value to move on but hold outside of a 1st. You would have to think an FA is coming in but who knows.

With all the suggestions here that a FA is likely coming, I'm surprised that people are also suggesting NOT to sell for a 2nd.

In order for Ford to be worth a 1st, both Cleveland needs to keep him as the lead back AND he has to produce very, very well. I'm not confident both are going to happen, so a 2nd is a great sell price IMO.

Even if Hunt or Fournette come in, it does not mean they will be productive or Ford will not still start. Ford is young and a solid prospect. Both Hunt and Fournette's best days are behind them. One could be brought in for depth/2nd option.

I think 2nd is fair value. Its too early to say a 1st because the Browns will bring someone else in and although Ford should stay as their RB1, the Browns have a tough schedule coming up.

For what it's worth, I offered a 2024 2nd and it was instantly rejected.
