History of bad trades between only those players? That would be cause for concern. History of bad trades with everyone? Lots of leagues have that type of player. Then it’s your own fault for not “skinning the fish first” as Billy said.

When I get into a new league, I always identify that guy, then hesitate to make him an offer (reasonable/fair but in my favor), and then remember that if I don't....someone else will

This is a good point. If there's a pattern of lopsided deals between two teams, then the league should talk about it and consider removing one or both players.

But if he's making bad deals with everyone then there's nothing to it. Consider replacing him if you think it's detrimental

Bingo. I would add that if you stay a taco for an extended period of time, then it's on you, and to some degree your leaguemates for not bullying you lol (or nicely offering you resources, but bullying is much more common in my experience).

When I first started dabbling in dynasty back in 2018/2019, I traded Chris Godwin for Chris Thompson (there were other pieces that I don't remember). My leaguemates roasted me into oblivion and I haven't made a bad trade since

I literally laughed out loud at this. Well done. And I agree.

I prefer Team A side, but vetoes are for bleep leagues.
Take the training wheels off and eliminate vetoes.

As commish in a league with a taco I always tell new owners that they will want to get in there and offer some trades. I give them a couple weeks after we open trading up each year and if they don’t make any trades I get in there and try to work something out with the taco.

And I’ve tried very hard to educate the taco to no avail. What can you do?

Haha fair. Was being a bit hyperbolic, but certainly have not made a trade that was on par with a Godwin/Thompson swap

Killah Sith wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 7:41 amI should add bad trade history of this player doesn't help matters either.
which one, A or B?

regardless, the trade makes team B stronger in the short term, and he is fine with it.
it's a bit rich for everyone else to tell him he shouldn't do it. who the fuck do you think you are?
everyone's a champion - with someone else's roster.

might as well work every single trade collectively, everyone gives his input in order to make every trade absolutely even. because we know the bloody future.
