1.02, don't need production this year, who to take?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.02, don't need production this year, who to take?

Postby Oddball456 » Tue Aug 29, 2023 5:36 am

I have the 1.02 + 1.09 this year (10 Team ppr, 1 QB, start 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex). Currently have JT, KW3, Mixon at RB. JJ, Chase, Diggs, A Cooper, J Dotson, Juju at WR. Take Gibbs at 1.02 in case my RBs have issues, or JSN as more of a long term play / Diggs replacement? 1.09 I will likely draft BPA for whichever position (RB/WR) I didn't draft at 1.02. I did reach out to the 1.01 owner and he is not interested in trading that pick. Draft is tomorrow night.

I can make an argument for Gibbs or JSN. Personal preference. Have you asked to trade down to 1.3?

First, never draft in dynasty for production this year. Second, I'd go with Gibbs but it is a preference. Like BradysBunch said, if you're undecided and good with either, try to maximize value and see if the guy at 1.03 has a strong preference.
Team 1: Dynasty/Contract Team: 12 Team, PPR, QB,1 RB, 2WR, 2 Flex WR/RB, TE (Premium TE scoring: 1.25X receiving yards points)

RB – Javonte Williams, K. Walker III,J. Hill, J. Ford, K. Miller (R), J.K. Dobbins (IR), K. Hebert (IR)
WR – J. Chase, C. Lamb, K. Allen, T. Burks, DJ Chark, P. Nakua (R)
TE – D. Waller, C. Okonkwo, L. Thomas, J. Ferguson

Team 2: Dynasty Team: 12 Team, 0.5 PPR, QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex WR/RB/TE (Premium TE scoring: 1.5X receiving yards points)
QB - A. Rodgers, L. Jackson
RB - B. Hall, S. Barkley, A. Kamara, E. Mitchell, J. Mason, Z. White, K. Miller (R), T. Spears (R)
WR - T. Hill, D. Adams, C. Watson, M. Brown, R. Rice (R)
TE - D. Waller, G. Kittle, J. Ferguson

Gibbs has the value but it's not a big reach to take JSN if you prefer him to Gibbs. They are pretty much neck and neck with the slight value on Gibbs.

Thanks for the responses. With the uncertainty around JT and the work load split in SEA, going to take Gibbs which should give me 4 "starter" type RBs to start the season.
