Indy, not protecting a rookie-deal QB and getting him hit at a league-high rate?

Nahhhhh, that doesn't sound like them.
Kurtrambis1 wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 5:09 am The answer is no one. Sure there will be a between the 20s runner and that could be a mix of Jackson and Hull. Or maybe Hunt or Lenny. But based off AR’s college history he isn’t going to check down enough or concede goal line touches to boost up any RB.

Sure there will be some spot weeks where one RB goes off but I don’t believe it will be consistent. Look at the Bears last year. Neither Montgomery or Herbert were consistently in your lineup.
This is it right here.

For as much as we've steamed up AR in Dynasty because of his -potential- as a rusher and his toolset... this offense is going to be absolute dog sh-- in 2023.

He's already looked spotty against 2nd stringers playing vanilla defense this preseason. He hasn't seen a real rush yet. He was severely raw last year, and looked outright-bad for a lot of it - and we've memory pilled it because he can throw a 60 yard bomb and run fast.

There's a reason he was raw: he was injured for nearly all of his college career. He might look like Derrick Henry, but I'm not convinced he's built like him, durability wise.

It's going to be rouuuuuuuugh going in AR Year 1, I'm sure of that much.

These RBs just don’t get it! It isn’t their team being mean! The market just isn’t there to pay RBs a guaranteed salary north of $12 million or so for an extended contract!

The Zeke signing by Dallas served to prove the point and drive home the final nail in that coffin. Extended heavy use wears them down, but it is only worth spending that $$$ if they have that extended use over the entire contract!

If I’m a RB, and my team offers $12 million/year over 3 years, I snap it up at this point. It’s about as good as you’re going to get
12 teams, 6pts all TDs, 1/2 pt PPR. 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D, 2 FLEX RB/WR/TE

QBs - P Mahomes,
RBs - Bijan, J Jacobs, K Walker, B Hall,
WRs - AJ Brown, J Waddle, DJ Moore, T Higgins, D London, Smith-Njigba, AT Perry
TEs - D Kincaid, Musgrave
Ks - Boswell, McPherson
Ds - Texans, Jets

2024 - 3 1st rounders... Picks 1.5, 1.7, 1.11… 2 2nds 2.17, 2.19 1 3rd 3.31…

100 percent. I don't think that happens, either. Maybe 2 years of guarantees, but not 3. That's supposedly what Barkley and Jacobs were offered. I think Barkley was given 26 million in guarantees, if I recall correctly.

I saw it mentioned that the Eagles are putting together a serious offer for Taylor. That would be something.....

Reportedly both MIA and PHI have made offers.

We'll see if Indy is actually serious about letting JT go. It would be stupid for them to hold on to him just to spite him, given that he's clearly not in their longer-term plans.

If the offers are even close to palatable - then take the value. Gotta think the CMC package (2nd, 3rd, 4th) should get it done.

Man, that would be interesting, but somethings got to give with the GL work. JT with the Miles Sanders style stat line if that happens. Low reception totals, and would lose some TD's on the ground. IF he's healthy, that would be a potent offense, no doubt. Seems a better fit than Miami.

I think they'd likely want picks. Wouldn't make sense, unless they were free. Why would they want inferior RB's on 1 year deals as part of the compensation? Only makes sense if they are literally thrown in for free.

Eagles would need to keep Swift if they trade for JT, so their backfield would be Taylor Swift.

You might be onto something here. But could you imagine the price spike in game tickets? Untenable!
