Who to take at #5 overall non-ppr

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Who to take at #5 overall non-ppr

Postby jdacunha » Wed Aug 23, 2023 1:32 am

I’m sitting at #5 with no more picks until round 4. This is a RB heavy league so the top two will be RB/RB. Now who should I look at taking at #5? I have three guys in mind, QJ, Kincaid or Richardson.

I have Herbert with no backup.
At WR, have Mike Williams so QJ would be a nice replacement long term.
At TE, I have Pitts but idk if that is saying much.

The guy at spot 6 offered me Goff and 6th overall to move up 1 spot. There are at least 6-7 QBs that can be drafted late like Daniel Jones or Sam Howell.

I probably like Kincaid the best. Thoughts?
21 Players Dynasty-10 teams, (Non-PPR, 4 pts per passing TD)
QB: Justin Herbert, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance
RB:Najee Harris, Breece Hall, Cam Akers, Devin Singletary, Travis Etienne, N Hines, Jaylen Warren
WR: Jamar Chase, Dionte Johnson, Mike Williams, Allen Lazard, Rondale Moore, Kadarius Toney, Christian Kirk, R, Jakobi Meyers Devin Duvernay, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs
TE: Kyle Pitts, G Everett

Don't make that trade in 1qb with those other guys available for free. I think the trade could make sense if you received a startable RB/WR in return, but not for a QB who won't start for you and there are other qb options.

Of the three you listed, I like QJ best. If it's not a TEP league, I wouldn't dream of taking Kincaid. Besides you already have Pitts, why double your early-pick TE disappointment in non-TEP?

Richardson? Again, is this 1qb or SF? I assume 1qb, because none of those QBs you mentioned would be free agents in SF and Richardson would be long gone before 1.06. Please do not mess up your draft by spending this pick on AR. Of the three players you mentioned, in 1qb and non-TEP and accounting for your roster, QJ is the best option by a mile.

QJ of those 3. But he's my WR4 this year so I would be snagging Addison/Flowers here

Addison or Flowers. Either that or trade back and snag Kendre.

There is a zero percent chance I would take QJ over Addison.
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

Addison for me if he is available. If not, Johnston has the value over Richardson and Kincaid.
