Best place for a keeper question?
Best place for a keeper question?
I thought there used to be a "Keeper League" forum for posting questions about who to keep & stuff like that. I don't see it, is this the best forum to ask?
Re: Best place for a keeper question?
Dynasty Team Advice is probably the place now.
The Keeper forum was rarely used, so I'm kinda glad they got rid of it so we can ask somewhere it might be seen in a more timely fashion.

Hit us up here. Holy crap, it’s the least we can do given the work you do to share with us all.
Re: Best place for a keeper question?
Fair enough, here goes...
Keeper league, keep 8 players with no draft pick implications.
PPR. Starting requirements QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/T, W/R
My significant players:
Patrick Mahomes (QB)*
Saquon Barkley (RB)*
Dalvin Cook (RB)
Ezekiel Elliott (RB)
Isiah Pacheco (RB)
Justin Jefferson (WR)*
Jaylen Waddle (WR)*
Garrett Wilson (WR)*
Tyreek Hill (WR)*
Drake London (WR)*
Calvin Ridley (WR)
Jameson Williams (WR)
T.J. Hockenson (TE)*
* Who I plan to keep if I don't trade
My team was loaded last year, but with the Zeke & Dalvin situations, I've gotten weak at RB pretty quickly. The person with 1.01 has offered it to me for JJ. In a vacuum I wouldn't do it, but given my WR depth I'm actually considering it. I've also been offered Pollard for Waddle.
What do you guys think?

Re: Best place for a keeper question?
It's tough to give up JJ, but with that WR corps I could see moving him for Bijan.
Mahomes
Barkley
Waddle
Wilson
Hill
London
Hockenson
Plus Bijan? Gross.

Re: Best place for a keeper question?
I wouldn’t do Pollard for Waddle or JJ for 1.01. Both are too lopsided against you. What draft picks do you have? Prior to naming keepers is a prime time for blockbuster trades. You are so stacked at WR - there’s got to be someone else strong at RB who would love one of those WRs.cmizelle wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 2:03 pm Fair enough, here goes...

JJ >>> Bijan.
But they can also taste the blood in the water.

That pretty much sums up the situation. Other guys know I need a RB.YouMightDieTryin wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 2:11 pm JJ >>> Bijan.

Re: Best place for a keeper question?
Honestly, with that WR corps if the rest of the league thinks they have you over a barrel then screw them. I’ve seen zero RB teams way less loaded than you are. You can start 4 WRs and you’ve got Barkley, Mahomes and Hock to start with them? You’ll be able to draft a decent RB2 and then go bury the league and rub their noses in it every week that they could have had one of the WRs you’re using to kick their butt.
Don’t panic would be my best advice. Either make a trade that improves both teams or stand pat. I have a hard time thinking that league is even fun for you as loaded as that team is.

Re: Best place for a keeper question?
Would this trade happen before your keeper decision? If so whoever you would keep by ridding yourself of JJ needs to be factored into the trade here.
I assume it would be Ridley or Pacheco? If so the trade is essentially Bijan + Ridley/Pacheco for JJ.
I'd still hold JJ but if you believe Ridley returns to form and is the 1 in Jax or Pacheco is a bellcow in KC then it's closer.

Yeah, the trade would happen before the keeper decision. I'd bump Ridley up in that case. So, after the trade and the 1.01 pick my team would be:
QB: Mahomes
RB: Barkley, Bijan
WR: Waddle, Wilson, Hill, London, Ridley
TE: Hock
My first pick is 1.09, so if I don't do it my 2nd RB is gonna leave something to be desired.

Re: Best place for a keeper question?
Well, looking at it that way it becomes more intriguing. That would essentially be JJ for 1.01 and Ridley. That’s probably a fair deal on both ends, and you’d have to weigh that vs starting JJ plus your 1.09 RB. I’d be awfully tempted there.cmizelle wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 3:07 pmjenkins.math wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 2:46 pm Would this trade happen before your keeper decision? Re: Best place for a keeper question?
Now have a guy offering me Chubb for Waddle.
Would leave me with keepers of:
QB: Mahomes
RB: Barkley, Chubb
WR: Jefferson, Wilson, Hill, London
TE: Hock
And I'd have 1.09

Re: Best place for a keeper question?
I like the JJ for 1.01 (Bijan) and Ridley better. Chubb is a stud but he’ll be a 28 yr old RB with a lot of mileage.
Re: Best place for a keeper question?
Here are my current options. Its a 10 team league, so after keepers are declared, the top 80ish are off the board. So, my 1.09 pick is 89.
