Stay away or a fair trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Stay away or a fair trade

What do you think of this trade (SF, TE Prem 0.5).

For context I would be getting side A, in a rebuild team lacking assets

Side A: Carr, Christian Watson, Pickens, Marquise Brown, Juwan Johnson
Side B: Cousins, Lamb, Diontae Johnson

Side A has the potential with Watson and Pickens involved but Lamb is elite and we know that. Easy pass and hold. There is just not enough there outside of potential coming back for what you are giving up.

Not enough coming back for Lamb imo.

There is no age benefit to Carr for Cousins.
There is no age benefit to Hollywood for Diontae.
And even in TEP, Lamb>>Watson+Juwan

It was a tricky comparison at first because of there being so many players involved. But once I separated the components, it's not even close.

Holding Lamb side here.

12 Team ppr w/20 keepers - start 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1FLX 6IDP 1DEF

WR: Lamb, JChase, Waddle, Pickens, Q Johnston, DeDouglas, MCorley

You left out Pickens.

So I did. My bad.

He makes a difference but the other parts as I compared them just don't seem like enough.

I'll modify from "not close" to "not terrible."

My biggest problem is giving up the far-and-away best player in the deal. The other pieces are moving similar positions and values across the board. This trade wins if either Watson or Pickens turn into a T12WR. Anything's possible (and I'm certainly hopeful for both) but I don't think that's a great bet.

If neither Watson nor Pickens become a consistent fantasy WR1, your + in this trade turns out to be a couple of fantasy WR2/WR3 guys. I love Watson+Pickens as holds, but I'm worried at paying the price of Lamb to acquire them. It seems like the other guy is pushing a volume of not-as-good-as-Lamb players at you to try to get a T3WR. I get it and I guess it would work better for me if ... I don't know.

So, not a terrible trade, but one that worries me. If you are confident that Watson and/or Pickens are going to become fantasy WR1s, this is a good deal for you.

Even being lower on Lamb, his side easily. Just not enough of a return
