Got: 1.05 (JSN)

Got: Jordan Addison
Bold takes from you.

#1 - i thought you were high on Kendre (who should've been available at the those picks) - but I also understand the desire to get into the top 4.

#2 - that's a tough pill to swallow. If it is 1.2 (phew!) but 1.1 would be tough. Granted I'm sure they made moves after your trade to make it the more favored 1.1 now.

#3 - nice reroll. I see equal careers long term, but at least you get the fancy new toy to play with.

Who'd you take at 1.4?

Thanks! Yeah, re. Addison - plenty of my thoughts on him in the Addison thread. I'm glad I got him.

I was high on Kendre when he was a back-of-the-2nd guy. Once he was up to the early 2nd/late 1st, that was pretty much paying full sticker on him - made me less excited to bet on a traits kind of pick for a middle of the road offense. I agree that he should be valued on the same level as Charb, but if I'm paying full price then I'm less excited.

My team is absolutely loaded, so the chance to get up into the top 4 for a true difference maker and try and stave off the forthcoming roster crunch was too juicy to not take. Classic 2-for-1 deal. It's an all-in year with a few rebuilders really starting to get scary in the rear-view mirror plus my primary rivals also gearing up, so I went all in on the skill position difference maker guys that I love - Gibbs at 1.04, JSN at 1.05. (I let Stroud drop to 1.06 to a contending team that has QB's but needs WR's; I was ok with this tactically as I don't feel it helped him this year, and next year I see scarier teams on the come-up)

The Gibbs vs. JSN debate was possibly the hardest one for "in a vacuum" that I've had to look at in a while. I was literally waking up on different days "today is a JSN day" "ok I'm back to Gibbs". In the end, I paid up to have both. That's my review of how good they both are.

And yeah, that pick hurt to give up in a sense - but the way I saw it, unless it was top 2, I wasn't going to get a player that could help me more than I think JSN will eventually help me. I had a similar offer a year ago with a 1st from the exact same team that I could have given up for Olave (I have his 1sts from a Tyreek blockbuster) and chose to hold it - and he promptly defied the odds and made the playoffs. His team is old, but still strong - he could have just run it back again with his Allen / Tyreek / D-Henry core (but getting his pick back to him has now officially kicked off his rebuild - that pick moving was part of an absurd 3-way draft-night Josh Allen mega-deal)

So this time I took the bird in the hand. I believe in JSN, and there's a chance he helps me later this season in a title run. He's not the same prospect MHJr is - but there's a chance he might produce on the same sort of level when it's all said and done.

16 team SF

Side A: Swift
Side B: 2024 1st / 2nd

Pick placement has been bottom 4 last few years, but could be a breaking point for the roster, which is aging and fairly thin (full IDP).

There’s an odd caveat I just realized recently about this league which is if the league resets after a back to back champion, rookie picks stay where they are and don’t reset with the rest of the roster so that will be interesting lol.

Hmm, I guess that makes sense. I would prefer a whole reset, but I guess this way you make contenders think twice about going ALL-IN

Yeah same - honestly, my fault for not catching that piece initially upon league creation but it’s also got a few friends in it so it’s all for fun at the end of the day.

Sold Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore
Received Gibbs, Dotson

This will get hate, but I wanted to lock in a RB that could be PPR gold in a NFL landscape that doesn't have many 1st round RBs.
12 Team - PPR - 30man (2 IR) - 6pt PPTD- 1 QB - 2 RB - 2 WR - 1 Flex - 1 TE
QB: Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, Anthony Richardson, Aidan O'Connell
RB: McCaffrey, Jacobs, Barkley, Zamir White, Jaleel McLaughlin, Dowdle, Zach Evans, Dobbins
WR: AJB, London, Aiyuk, Diontae Johnson, Rashee Rice, Ridley, McLaurin, Dotson, Rashod Bateman
TE: Mandrews, Pitts, Likely, Otton

2024: 1.01, 1.07
2025: 3x 1st
Champ: 2020, 2021
Year 9 of my league

You're right. Key difference here is we haven't seen it from Gibbs in the NFL vs We have with G Wilson. Risky.

You're right, I hate this.

But I will say, great work getting Dotson as part of the trade. That guy is extremely sneaky good / underrated.

Gibbs needs to be everything we think he might be for you to win this. She's a steep hill...

I was the other team involved here. I really hated giving up Dotson tbh. But I also saw it as one of the only opportunities I’d have to get a Garrett Wilson caliber player on my team. Pairing him with Bijan who is already on my team is a good start to dynasty relevancy. It was one of those trades that I love but also hate…. Signs of a fair one

I think it's a good dub for you, for sure. Both teams can be happy, though - Gogo's starting lineup looks pretty insane for 2023.

Where'd you draft Gibbs? Say, 1.05? It's funny how it changes once their's a name on it, eh.

1.05 + Dotson for Garrett Wilson just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Edit: I now see it's a 1QB league, so it was 1.02 + Dotson for GW+. That def. sounds a bit better.

Sent Early/Mid 24 1st, Dotson, Swift, Penny
Received Mid/Late 24 1st, Aiyuk, Jacobs, Zamir

Wanted to really strengthen by RB2 spot and while I really love the MHJ sweepstakes, my team is built to win and I already have a couple early looking 24 1sts. Doesn't hurt that I think Aiyuk could be a megastud if his situation improves.
