Team Review Post Start-up Auction.

Just completed my first start-up draft since 2020, it was an auction league with a $1000 budget. I'm hoping for any form of feedback.

League Particulars 12 Teams, Superflex, PPR (+0.5 TE's), IDP Dynasty - 11 offensive starters (1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 3Flex & 1 SF) & 11 defensive starters (3DL, 3LB, 3DB & 2IDP) - 22 player bench & 4 taxi spots. I'll leave the IDP players off as most aren't familiar with the format.

QB: L.Jackson ($210), J.Fields ($156), M.Stafford ($36), S.Bennett ($5), J.Haener (1$) & M.Corral ($1)

RB: T.Etienne ($78), Jam.Williams ($7), J.Kelley ($2), M.Carter ($2), E.Hull ($1) & D'E.Johnson ($1)

WR: AJ.Brown ($116), S.Diggs ($71), G.Pickens ($60), M.Pittman ($59), DJ.Moore ($57), C.Watson ($48), M.Gallup ($4), T.Dell ($4), P Campbell ($2) & K.Shakir ($1)

TE: D.Waller ($26) L.Schoonmaker ($7), Z.Ertz ($3) & T.Conklin ($1)

Jackson and Fields have massive ceilings and if they both continue to produce, you could have a top pair at QB, but there is risk here too. Let it play out.

RB is a mess and will need to be worked on long term in coming drafts or trades. Etienne is solid but outside of him you don't have any options. Williams was likely a one year wonder carried by TDs.

Solid WR core with steady producers ranging from WR1 - WR3. You should have options to deal here too. If need be.

TE could go either way as Waller continues to age.

Overall I think your build is in a strange middle of the pack spot. Solid value and points at QB, very little hope at RB and a solid WR core.

Looks like a middle of the road team. You went more compete now with QB, straddled between win now and young with wr, and RB you are short one maybe 2 rbs to actually compete.

I'd probably look to move some of that wr tallent for RB and see what you can make happen. Otherwise I'd start selling mid season.

Appreciate the feedback, lots of valuable insight.

I was aiming to build a competitor and was hoping to spend $20-35 on my RB2. All the running backs I went after were bid out of that range. In hindsight I wish I hadn't have gone after Pickens. I love him and his potential (much more than is common on these forums), but at that point I'd already won Fields, Jackson, AJB, Diggs & Pittman.

Knowing I'd win Moore & Watson for the prices I'd get them at I'd rather split $60 from Pittman on a lower tier RB & WR.
