Few Trade Options

Postby CGW » Tue Jun 13, 2023 11:13 am

Feel like this team could be a contender this season. This is year 2 of the league and it's pretty wide open.

12 Team | SF | PPR | 1.5TEP | 6pt pass TD
QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FL, FL, SF
QB | Herbert, Love, Lance, Young
RB | ETN, Javonte Williams, Ford, Warren
WR | ARSB, Olave, DK, DJM, Flowers, Downs, Collins, Shakir
TE | Hock, Otton, Dulcich, Likely

Obvious weak spots are RB and QB, but to a lesser extent my 2nd Flex spot. If Love/Young hit that'll help. Looking at using my 2024 picks to fill holes. Here are a couple deals I could make.

Mattison for my 2024 2nd
Rachaad White for my 2024 1st
Damien Pierce for my 2024 1st (I declined. May counter with 2nd)

Any of these make sense to secure my RB3/FL2? Or just hold tight for now.

Mattison seems to have the most value here based on the price. All three RBs listed are gambles so I sure would not move a 1st for any of them.

Mattison for the 2nd is a smash accept IMO

I do not see that team competing. I wish you luck, but I would not be buying players right now with the expectation of being competitive. I would wait until during the season and see if you are actually competing or not, but that looks like a middle of the road team to me. The one thing you have going for you is a lot of youth, so I would hold for now.

The one exception to that is if you have an offer of giving a second for Mattison, I would take that. It's very possible that the Vikings bring in another veteran at some point, but I'd be willing to pay a second to possibly have a three down back. None of the current veterans out there that are available really scare me and I think Mattison has a lot of upside in that offense, and he still has value even if they do bring in another guy.

Just for info I've sent an offer to send mattison and a 2025 2nd for a 2024 1st. Doubtful it gets accepted but I'll let you know.

I'd buy mattison for a 2nd though (outside of your roster construction) but I wouldn't sell for a 2nd either.

I 100% wouldn't give up a 1st now until I know he's a 70%+ carry share guy. I'm confident they bring in a vet and it ends up a 60/40.

As a mattison and Chandler owner I'm happy to get out from both as a non contender this year. Now is the time to sell high.
