It's hard to gauge NE RB's for the future. But I know one thing, right now this entire offense runs through him. Air, Ground, everything. I dont know how you dont start him knowing he's gonna be responsible for 50% of the teams offensive production for the rest of the year.
Exactly. With questions about the offense and Jones/Zappe playing meh at best, it's amazing he's performing so well, when he's the inly one the defense has to be worried about.

He's a good back, but New England backs have zero longevity. I wish he was on another team. They'll just cycle him out with someone else when he hits his contract year.

He's really getting the benefits of Mac being a check down Charlie, too.

I’ve tried hard to package him and a second to get a WR in the 10-16/18 range to no avail. I think he’s going to be one of those guys that’s always worth more than what someone will pay. Even now I talk with owners who are surprised he’s top 10 in RB scoring this year. He’s RB10 on KTC and that feels about right, I could see you having him as low as say 14 but not realistically lower. Typically that’s Ekeler range anywhere from 8-14 which is worth at least a first or a second and a good player and I haven’t seen those trades get done.

You comfortable with him in the top 10 for the next two years? His rookie deal ends after the 2024 season.

NE hasn’t had a back this talented since I started playing fantasy football (2012)

Even if what you say holds true, that would still give him 2 more years on his rookie deal. If he’s a top 10-12 RB for 2 more years, sign me up.

Buying high on lead backs in New England has proven to be a terrible idea time and time again though. You are always better off going after the cheaper back, which is now Kevin Harris or Pierre Strong.
SteveMaddensShoes wrote: Thu Jul 28, 2022 6:58 pm It’s incredible that anyone still buys a NE back. I wish I could somehow tally the draft capital to production ratio over the years. It has to be nauseating.

I’d always be down to grab a Kevin Harris or maybe Strong priced rookie and hope for the flip but everything pricier is just playing the slots.
j4pac wrote: Sun Aug 14, 2022 12:52 pm You think things are confusing now? Wait until the Patriots draft another RB in the third round next year.
Stevenson ended 2022 as NE's bellcow, finishing around RB12 in fantasy. They let D Harris walk in FA to a divisional rival for a cheap contract, didn't bring in any FA/rookie competition.

Stevenson is ranked as the RB11 at KTC, around 1.6 in non SF. If you believe Stevenson will be the bellcow for another 1.5-2 years and/or Belichick has a history of red shirting rookie RBs, Stevenson, K Harris and/or Strong are great buys.

Idly wondering if the release of James Robinson raises Rhamondre's ceiling or if it's a non-factor?

Non-factor, because he's already setup to absolutely smash.

Even amongst everything else (Harris leaving, no competition of note, insane usage in a 3-down role in 2022) - this might be your last and best chance to bet large against Matt Patricia.

A bet I would gladly make.

It's both heartening and depressing to realize Rha's ceiling can't go any higher.

I did say you can bet against Matt Patricia!

There's reason for optimism for the offense holistically, if you think that Patricia is "not an OC" and BoB is "an average OC"

If they move the ball more effectively then that's good news for the big Rham.

Ty Montgomery will have a role until an injury I'd guess. That being said, I think we can finally put to bed the NE RB uncertainty fears.
Or can we?
