Dalvin or Swift?
Won it all last year and have someone offering Swift for my Cook. I’m kinda torn as they’re both injury prone, but I really like Swift in Philly & a contract year.

Re: Dalvin or Swift?
Cook is sinking quickly on value and looked poor last year overall. Take Swift on value and hope he gets back on track.

I moved Aaron Jones for Javonte too to try to reset my window. Can’t find a taker for Chubb but no doubts one will arise mid season if he’s healthy.

Re: Dalvin or Swift?
I'd rather have Dalvin for this year. Swift in Philly is worse than it was in Detroit. He's going to a team that was dead last in RB targets last year, with 61. Swift is losing a ton of his PPR upside, and is stuck in a committee in which he's not likely the GL back that often, and even if he is, Hurts steals a ton of TD's. Cook if he goes to Miami, will heavily outscore Swift assuming health.
I'd be moving Swift to someone who thinks Philly is somehow an upgrade over Detroit, if I went that route.

Re: Dalvin or Swift?
Too many unknowns on both sides here to make adequate judgment. Taking either back over the other is pure star-gazing and will say more about the person making the call than about the future of those two.
Re: Dalvin or Swift?
I lean Swift here. Several years younger and I love his talent, if he can stay healthy. Red flags either way, but i think Swift can hold value longer if he recovers while Dalvin even if he lands in a good spot and balls out, is still likely on the downswing value wise.
Re: Dalvin or Swift?
No offense intended to anyone here but it really boggles my mind that anyone would even consider Cook over Swift at this stage. The committee argument is worthless considering Cook will almost definitely join a committee anywhere he goes. Swift is 3 or 4 years younger and extremely talented. The only knock you can have on Swift is his difficulties with staying healthy and Cook has had similar issues. The new regime in Detroit didn’t like him because he didn’t have that old school mentality and put his body on the line regardless of his health. Get out there and run into a wall while you’re injured. Swift is also now playing for his career. He has to prove something this year or he will have a very rocky future. I think he will do everything he can to prove something and his Bulldog buddies will get him back on track. I don’t understand how most people don’t see Swift as a screaming buy right now. If Penny goes down (which he just loves to do) I think Swift could be a real difference maker.

Agree with the person that it’s murky for both. Can’t feel too confident about either.
Re: Dalvin or Swift?
Swift has had trouble staying healthy for a full season but that’s just not true at all. Penny has been injured far more than Swift and with multiple devastating injuries that have cost entire season. Swift has also finished as a top 24 back in each of his 3 seasons yet Penny has barely even cracked top 40 once and in pretty much every single season has been irrelevant for fantasy (aside from maybe 4 games in 2021 where he was awesome).natjjohn wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 6:29 pmI don’t disagree but Swift also just loves to go down as much as Penny. Cook has sort of stayed healthier but he’s still missed plenty of games. He’s also held a bigger workload through all of that time though so I will give him that.

Re: Dalvin or Swift?
You're spinning a lot of narratives here. His bull dog buddies, etc. That should make no difference at all. The guy has been in the NFL for years, if he needs someone else from his old college (did he even play with any of them at Georgia??) to motivate him to be better than he has been, he's in trouble.Gazzerk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 6:17 pm No offense intended to anyone here but it really boggles my mind that anyone would even consider Cook over Swift at this stage. Swift can't handle a full load, they will run a RBBC almost assuredly. Swift's reason for being a producer in FF, at least his main one, is pass catching. The Eagles were dead last in RB targets last year, with 61. That's a huge boon to Swift's production. Tack on a QB that steals a ton of GL touches, and going to have to disagree. Regardless of Penny's status, Swift will be splitting touches and not getting a lot of targets.
Dalvin has been the better player for years, and if he goes to Miami, he will lead that backfield in touches assuming health. He's far superior than anybody they have in that backfield right now. A washed journeyman that can't stay healthy in Mostert, another journeyman in Wilson, and a diminutive rookie that will likely never command a large touch count.
If he doesn't go to Miami, he still likely out touches Swift this year. Swift has been a disappointment for years, and I'd take 1 more good year from Dalvin over a few more disappointing ones from Swift, IF I'm contending.
Swift is a screaming sell to me, not buy. It's your last chance to get anything of value for the guy. He's in a much worse situation than he was in Detroit now. They basically got him for free, didn't spend an early 2nd like the Lions did. They aren't invested in him. QB that steals GL carries and they don't throw to the RB's, and his main asset has been his receptions in Fantasy.
