Agreed, that is why I won't go with fewer than 3 starting QB's.Jrblaha wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2023 8:01 amA 3rd/4th starting QB on your bench is $$$ for bye week and/or QB injury thoMacDaddy123 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 3:09 pmActually not that rare at all from what I have seen.lukkynumber13 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 9:58 pm That is a VERY rare attribute of a Superflex league’s ecosystem
From my experience in SF leagues, all on Sleeper, 10 different leagues with mostly different guys, QB's are not valued as highly by most as they seem to be on various websites like here.
In one 12 team SF league, I saw a starting QB, Davis Mills, traded away from one team to another. mid season for a pick swap that eventually netted the Mills seller to move up from 3.02 to 2.11 in the 2023 draft. The guy buying Mills was absolutely desperate too, as he had NO QB's to play that week.
He offered me his late 2nd for Pickett, I declined and I countered with his 23 and 24 2nds for Pickett, and he declined.
In a 12 team SF draft a team with only 2 QB's, Herbert and Carr, picked Gibbs at 1.04 ahead of Stroud.
Another team with only 2 QB's, Burrow + Fields, passed on Levis at 1.12 for Achane, while yet another team picking at 2.01 passed on Levis for Charbonnet, he only has Kyler Murray and Trey Lance as his only 2 QB's.
I took Levis at 2.02, despite having TLaw, Watson, Pickett, Love, Huntley, and Z. Wilson, because I felt the value was there.
So from my experiences, I respect the QB position more than almost everyone that I play with.
Like I said earlier, I spent 4 months trying to package Geno or Love with Dotson for a WR like Waddle, Higgins, JSN, no one was interested in a 14 team SF league.
Name of the game is to score points, and I can only start 2 QB's max.
No sense having good QB's just sitting on your bench just because I am stubborn, and refuse to change my values slightly to reflect the values in the real world versus the theoretical world values.
I have no problem selling a 4th starting QB to strengthen my starting lineup though.
