Looking to move Chubb for a 2024 1st. The owner has my pick from a previous trade for ASB when I traded my 2.2 & my 2024 1st rounder . Is it ridiculous to now try to get that pick back for Chubb which I project could be top 2 ?

Wrong forum, and yes, asking an early 1st for Chubb is ridiculous. I tried trading him before last year for a 1st and couldn’t get any takers… so early first with a year less on his treads is ridiculous.

14 team SF TEP PPR:
Give: TLaw
Get: Chase

I have Geno Smith and Jordan Love on my bench behind Burrow and TLaw.
Tried for 4 months to trade Love or Geno for value, got no interest, so I traded away TLaw for Ja'Marr Chase.

Geno now replaces TLaw in my SF, while Chase replaces Burks in my lineup.
Here is the new squad:

QB: Joe Burrow
RB: Jonathan Taylor
RB: Rhamondre Stevenson
WR: Ja'Marr Chase
WR: DeVonta Smith
TE: Dallas Goedert
Flex: Chris Olave
Flex: Drake London
Flex: Jahan Dotson
SF: Geno Smith

Key bench pieces: Jordan Love, Isaiah Pacheco, Treylon Burks

No way I could give up a top 5 QB for a WR in 14 tm SF, but hopefully it works for the roster configuration

Team in signature.

Give: Marcus Mariota + 2024 3rd (likely mid to late)
Get: Allen Lazard

It is a 16 team start 3 WR league, so the more options during bye heavy weeks the better.
"Marathon Square" - 16 team full PPR league with 24 player roster. Keep 16 per year indefinitely, draft 8. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Team DST
QB: Jordan Love, Deshaun Watson
RB: Travis Etienne, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Kendre Miller, Jaleel McLaughlin, Sean Tucker, Deuce Vaughn
WR: A.J. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, Tutu Atwell, Allen Lazard, Isaiah Hodgins, Justin Shorter
TE: T.J. Hockenson, Cole Kmet, Kylen Granson
K: Didn't make the playoffs in 2023  , and don't usually hold one in the offseason
Team DST: Cowboys, Lions

Picks:
2024: 1.06, 2.06, 4.06, 5.06, 6.06, 7.06, 8.06

Disclaimer: My one and only Championship in this league was way back in 2011. Therefore, take my replies with the appropriate grain of salt.

Sorry to pile on, but I think this is a huge mistake -- and hopefully instructive.

So, because you didn't get what you thought was fair value for Geno or Love you instead got poor value on Lawrence? In other words, if you're going to undersell someone, better a lesser player. I think this was simply falling into the trap of I-don't-need-so-many-players-at-a-position-so-I'll-get-the-best-I-can-for-one-of-them. I'd MUCH rather hang to the overflow depth at a position. First of all, you might need it. And, second, you can always undersell there later.

Chase in your lineup is very sexy. But I'm not moving Lawrence for a sexier looking starting lineup in June.

I think most people have committed the crime above. Either prematurely, or underselling a Superflex QB. I sold Hurts as my QB3 for George Kittle straight up because I needed a TE. I was looking at my sexy line-up that summer too.

I just take it in stride and know that this is dynasty. There's plenty of time to win back the trades you lose and then some. I think the lesson here is:

1. Having an overabundance at QB is never a bad thing.
2. There's absolutely no need to fill out every roster position in June, July, heck August.

Gotta diamond hand your valuable assets until you get what they're worth. If not just continue to hold. I'll settle on selling players if it's like my WR5, or RB3. I'll move those budget players if I need to roster construct between positions. But an elite QB I need full price + tax.

I may be in the minority but I don't hate this trade. Chase is one of the best WR in dynasty, and while I do own one share of TLaw (in a 1 QB league) I don't feel you screwed up here. The only concern in SF IMO is how high do you have to pick to get an elite QB? Usually in the top five, right? Geno is no slouch. It's like in my 1 qb league where I'm looking to move Lamar + Pollard + picks to get Bijan. I always finish in the top three in that league and so the ONLY way I'll EVER get an elite RB like Bijan is to give up some serious assets. Lamar is behind Allen and Pollard may not keep that gig, so I think it's worth the move. The debate I'm having now is whether it's worth the 23 1st (probably 9-12) or the 23rd AND 24th 1st (probably 9-12 as well) to go all-in on ONE RB. Tough call. Hope this works out for you.

I think that Lawrence is about to explode. Five years from now we may be wondering who the heck Geno Smith even is. Chase is great…but in SuperFlex Lawrence could easily be a top 5 QB for 10-15 years.
