Skyy Moore offer

Got an offer this morning for Skyy Moore in return for my probable mid 3rd and 5th 2024 picks possibly due to my having Mahomes.

Honestly didn't realize his value had fallen so far in one season. and based on reading a couple of posts here from a month or two ago, the general consensus was if you drafted him, either hold or try to get a mid 2nd in return and cut your loss.

I was only able to draft Hutchinson, Tucker, and Gray in our draft three weeks ago and required cuts coming up at the end of August will probably include Bourne and Hollins unless I can sell them for a late pick.

With all of the Hopkins FA chat lately for the Chiefs, what's the chances for Skyy to become something close to the player who everyone picked mid to late 1st round last year? Counter for a single 4th instead of the 3rd/5th offer? Or saw appreciate the offer and walk away?

For a mid 3rd and 5th, I could see gambling on Moore but I would not expect a ton. You could hit on the picks in the future, but that is always unlikely based on hit rate in dynasty rookie drafts especially in that range. I don't think this is a deal you need to make but the value is with Moore slightly.

I'm not a fan of him and always let someone else draft him in my leagues last year, but I'd take a flier on him at that cost. Would take the original offer.

I think it's a fair price for Moore. If you don't really have interest, though, I'd pass. There are two opportunity costs to making this trade:

1) Loss of a roster spot; and
2) Inability to use those picks for players and/or in a future trade.

So, if you have interest in Moore, then go for it! If not, I'd rather keep the picks and roster spot for their flexibility.

I'm definitely holding over a 3rd. I'd take a 2nd to reroll though most likely. Seeing a lot of Reed or Mims in the 2nd where I'd sell Skyy

Appreciate all of the input. Having an e-mail issue with our website responding to the offering owner so it's on hold for right now.

Not sure how strongly I feel about Skyy but I have little young talent after my top four WR's of Kupp, Waddle, Hollywood, and Lockett. OBJ is a wild card right now. Would I rather keep Hollins as maybe #2 in Atl for a backup/bye week over hoping for a bounce back from a touted rook? He needs to show something this season and I'll have to think a bit about the risk.

i don't think he'll ever be fantasy productive, and the guy can't even field a punt.

still, i'd take him for that, and look to flip for a 2nd as soon as he has a big game.

Im on board with this too. wasnt a skyy guy at all and was baffled at the amount of love for his tape that i hated lol. but if you do like him this is a fine price

As long as you don't have any roster limits, I'd be happy to pay that for Skyy. I don't expect anything worth starting, but the potential is there so it's worth shot. And I think Skyy is a better gamble than those picks.

Agreed
