TE’s TE’s TE’s Everywhere I Look

TE’s TE’s TE’s Everywhere I Look

Postby TheTroll » Mon May 29, 2023 3:25 am

Team 1 in sig…. Non TEP.

I currently have 5 TEs on my roster due to Injury pickups last season. While I’m legal for the draft, I have 5 picks of the first 11 in the rookie draft in 2 weeks and I’m almost assured to use one of those picks on a rookie TE. With all this, I will have to drop a few of these puppies by Week 1.

Keeps: Freiermuth, Kittle
On the fringe: Geseki, Irv Smith, Conklin

I know I can use Dynasty rankings and most say Conklin but I think Aaron Rodgers will help elevate his TEs.

If you were going to drop two of them, who would it be?

Irv Smith seems like a total bust to me, but I know some are excited about the opportunity on Cincy

I think we’ve seem the best of Gesicki and if Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith couldn’t produce in NE, I doubt he’s going to

Another idea, maybe you could cash out on Kittle while his value is still relatively high?

QB: Kyler, Tua, O’Connell
RB: Gibbs, Etienne, Pacheco, Javonte Williams, Chase Brown

TE: McBride, Freiermuth

Conklin and probably Gesicki. It's close between Irv vs Gesicki, but taking Irv for situation. Both have disappointed so far in their careers and while I like Gesicki's ceiling, he's just never going to hit it. NE is going to use multiple TE and Henry is probably a thorn in his side. Plus he's 3 years older than Irv, who has missed a lot of time due to injury. Maybe he stays healthy and is in a very happy pass offense as the 4th target or so.

Irv has more market value and age is on his side. I've had to cut a few shares and haven't really worried about it much. In this league, I would see if you can get any value from them at all. I doubt they have much as you probably picked them off waivers.

With your rookie picks, I see it going Bijan and then you probably are picking 4 of Charbonnet, Kendre, Kincaid, Richardson, Mingo

Based on his profile and potential strengths, I would rather hold Smith Jr and see if he stays healthy and can get going with Burrow. Gesicki has always been overrated and I would drop him and Conklin. Smith Jr has the highest ceiling but overall, I don't think you will miss any of the three.

its TEs , not like any of them are going win you a ton of games regularly lol. You dont need 5 and drafting one , cut who dont like , it truly wont make a differnce. TE suck outside of top 2/3.

10 team start 7 with no TE premium, cut all 3.
You're never going to use any of them ahead of Kittle or Freiermuth so what's the purpose of keeping them? Let your leaguemates waste a roster spot on them.
I would not be drafting a TE either as they're not going to be difference makers with your small league and starting roster size.

Conklin for me. I still want to give Irv a shot. Which might be ridiculous.

Funny that someone who law said maybe Geisecki. My first reaction was keep him but maybe he is just a roster clogger at this point. There is a world where he could fade into nothing sooner than the other two.

Tbh, I also don’t see the point of rostering all those guys without a tep. Isn’t there some other guys you would rather take a flyer on?

I usually only carry 3 max but a few were mid season add in’s when others went on IR. I have no issues with dropping 2-3 of these guys especially since I will be drafting 5 top 11 rookies.
