The Official "What the @#$! to do at 1.07" thread
1.01-1.06 looks pretty locked down. It's unbelievably rare to not see some combination of Robinson, Gibbs, JSN, and the three QBs go top 6. It starts to get a little bit interesting at 1.07 when it is common for the other three 1st round WRs to go. But there are also three day 2 draft capital RBs, an early 2nd round QB, and three 1st round TEs that are in the mix. It gets interesting, and based on team needs (especially for those that don't need a WR), I think that you can honestly say that there is a tier of about 8 players that can go at 1.07.

TE- Goedert, Musgrave

which makes trading back very difficult.
maybe easier to trade out completely to someone with no 1sts and a bit of the rookie fever. that, or you make up your mind on which player is going to increase his value quicker than the rest.
Re: The Official "What the @#$! to do at 1.07" thread
I didn't get an offer for 1.03 much less 1.07. I had this issue at 1.09 and went with the guy I just liked because IMO there is no wrong answer here.

Re: The Official "What the @#$! to do at 1.07" thread
I honestly don’t see 8 players with roughly equivalent value there, but that’s just my opinion. If that really is the case for someone there then my advice is to do some homework and figure out who your top 1 to 2 players are out of your bunched group and stand by your judgment. If you need to let team need break a tie, this is the right spot to do it.
Re: The Official "What the @#$! to do at 1.07" thread
I agree that after Bijan, Gibbs and the 4 1st rd WR, there is a tier drop. Kendre is currently my pick, with Charbonnet right behind. I can see the appeal of Kincaid or a 2nd round WR as well (except Rashee). Heck, even Richardson would be in play in 1 QB.
I think a lot of owners realize this and trading back isn't going to be that easy. Owners will likely target the 1.10-12 instead of 7.

My thoughts as well. That is when you get value on the guy that fell. Great year to have a playoff team tbh.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 7:24 am I agree that after Bijan, Gibbs and the 4 1st rd WR, there is a tier drop. Re: The Official "What the @#$! to do at 1.07" thread
To me there are a top 2 (in SF), then 1.03-1.06/1.07 are all roughly the same value, then 1.08-2.06 are all in the same ballpark. I keep hearing people say '1.03 is such a great place to be', but in SF after Bijan and AR go there isn't a clear 'next best'.

Re: The Official "What the @#$! to do at 1.07" thread
the two things aren't mutually exclusive though: there may be 'n' players you'd be very happy spending 1.03 on, plus it gives you the option to trade back. or you might have a clear next best.Shcritters wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 7:27 am '1.03 is such a great place to be', but in SF after Bijan and AR go there isn't a clear 'next best'.
maybe the "consensus" is that the back end of the 1st round is "flat", which means this is a great draft for those that plant their flags and don't care all that much about expert rankings.
it's a bit like later rounds in startups: stop watching ADP and play chicken, get your guy if you think it's right value at that point.
Re: The Official "What the @#$! to do at 1.07" thread
The correct answer is either pay to move up, or trade out to 2024... A couple months ago...
Sorry but if you held.the 1.07 for this long you're likely stuck with it.
I'd look at the teams in your league that are in need of a wr and see if they would move their 24 1st for the 1.07. especially if one of those teams doesn't have a first round pick.
I was able to move my 1.12 in SF to a competitive team (top 3-4) for their 24 1st because they needed a wr, had no picks, and zay flowers was on the board.

Ideally I can trade up/down/out because who wants to be at the top of a very clear tier break with a fairly large group to choose from eh?

I have Kendre in the same tier, personally. I missed that comment in the post I commented, on. Kincaid it TEP same tier, as well.nathanq42 wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 9:29 amThankfully my draft is right before the season so I get to see how preseason shakes out, but at 7&9 I am feeling any 2 of Charb, Miller, Achane, and Mingo.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 9:16 amX2.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 7:24 am I agree that after Bijan, Gibbs and the 4 1st rd WR, there is a tier drop. In the scenario where it's Bijan/Gibbs/JSN/3 QBs, I'm going Addison really easily at 1.07. I think he's a really good receiver. 1.08 is where I'd be not very thrilled to draft.

yeah, I didn't realize this was SF, my bad. Addison is definitely the play here. I think he outscores JSN this year, and possibly next year, too. Not convinced he shouldn't be in the same tier as JSN.dynastyninja wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 10:13 am In the scenario where it's Bijan/Gibbs/JSN/3 QBs, I'm going Addison really easily at 1.07. I thought this was for 1QB too... 1.07 for 1 QB, 1.10 for SF is the clear tier break in my mind after the round 1 WR. I agree Addison/Flowers is likely the play at 7 and they could outproduce JSN long termFantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 10:22 amyeah, I didn't realize this was SF, my bad.
