The Texans got a ton from the Watson Trade and most likely had Anderson as #2 but took the QB to ensure they could get #3
It’s very expensive to go get elite talent and Anderson is considered by many to be the very best player in this draft.
The Texans are also in desperate need of an identity to make a quick turnaround and Anderson gives them that on defense.
