Congratulations to Lamar Jackson and his 5 year deal! Reportedly the Ravens stepped up and offered "more than the Hurts deal" as soon as that deal got done.

Interesting because a lot of people here told me that deal, and last year's initial offer/deal were definitely off the table by now.

Cool that he saved himself his 3% agent fee too. What's that, like... another 8-10 million dollars? Good for him.

I think it's really dumb. The top let's say 10 QBs are always going to set their price and it will always be more than the person before. The sooner you get a deal done, the cheaper it is. The only thing waiting protects the team from is a huge decrease in skill. Even significant injuries don't decrease the payday, look at dak.
