1.3 for Goff & Hock

Do I fill out my starting roster (secure 2nd QB and land reliable TE) by moving 1.3? I realize Goff has limited upside, but I feel like he’s secured himself the Lions job for the near future. I think TJ Hockenson still has room to grow and could put up his best season with a full season in Minnesota.

Do I make this move?

QB's are tough to come by in a 14 team SF format but I still do not think you are getting enough back here value wise. I would say holding is the right move. Hockenson could make a jump but we have said that for years now. I get he is on a new team but I think you are taking on the risk here while giving up the value.

You don’t trade the 1.03 in a SF for Goff. You take a QB.

A lot of QBs bust, why not take the safe QB in Goff and bank on Hock to continue developing. Goff was top 12 QB last year and Hock was TE2. Hock is 25 and probably coming into his prime years. I don’t think it’s a slam dunk to just draft a QB at 1.3 and expect he’ll definitely hit in the league, there’s just as good of a chance he bust.

1.3 is maybe a slight overpay but I don’t hate it. Shouldn’t be adding in your 2 as well though.

I must be the minority here but the 1.03 is no guarente. Goff alone, no, but Goff and a potential top 5 TE? I think this is fair value for a starting top 10 qb and top 5 TE. The 3 spot has bust written all over it IMO. Rookie fever…… but it depends on your build.

id do it but i would try to keep the 2nd, maybe send a 24 2nd instead. you got a top team for a 14team sf imo and adding hock and goff would be more beneficial than a rookie qb.
