I did a complete rehaul of my team so im stacked with picks in this draft. I currently possess picks 1, 3, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 24, 30, and 39. Notable players on my team:
Qb: Sam Howell, Malik Willis
RB: None
Wr: Tyler lockette, Chase Claypool, Calvin Austin III, Greg Dortch
TE: George Kittle, Noah Fant
Really need to hit on a couple of those picks between 10-20 to rebuild this team!

1 RB minimum. He had minimum req's correct. He was just mixing a flex for the 8th spot

My favorite thread on DLF! Stoked to see 2023 kick off
Re: GEDL Rookie Draft 2023
I'm the West Michigan Machine. I'm in year 2 of a full-on rebuild where I tore it all down. I "earned" the 1.02 slot and pick:
Year 2023 Draft Pick 1.02
Year 2023 Draft Pick 2.02
Year 2023 Draft Pick 2.13
Year 2023 Draft Pick 3.14
Year 2023 Draft Pick 5.02
Year 2023 Draft Pick 6.02
Year 2023 Draft Pick 7.02
Year 2023 Draft Pick 7.07
My players of Note are
QB
Burrow
Ridder
RB
Khalil Herbert
Samaje Perine
Rachaad White
WR
Rondale White
Deebo Samuel
Gabe Davis
Rashid Shaheed
Kadarius Toney
Jameson Williams
Garett Wilson
TE
Juwan johnson
Dawson Know
Trey McBride
I'm basically on the clock (we all know who's going 1.01) so I'll talk about my thinking. Drafting at 2, my main goal is to not miss and even though one position is a bigger need and I like a player there I'm worried about who drafts him. I see one player outside of our lord and savior Bijan that I don't think is reliant on landing spot. He'll likely be my pick and hopefully give me another cornerstone piece to build off of.

Re: GEDL Rookie Draft 2023
I don't envy you with the decision you get to make. Personally I'd swing for the fences with Gibbs, but the real (and safe) value would be JSN. If he hits it allows you to move a different WR to hopefully beef up your team further. Good luck!MARKinMI wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 1:13 am I'm basically on the clock (we all know who's going 1.01) so I'll talk about my thinking. Re: GEDL Rookie Draft 2023
I am surprised I am saying this, but I would think getting safe reliable RB's drafting this early is more challenging than post draft. I don't think it matters where Gibbs lands, he will have value. He is much more valuable in a PPR format (forget if GEDL is), but so is JSN. I would take the RB here and hope he lands in a + offensive to use him creatively. And I LOVE JSN.

It's funny, because I'd actually argue that Gibbs is a very safe prospect and isn't reliant on landing spot.
Re: GEDL Rookie Draft 2023
That was the point I was trying to make. He will have value everywhere, I just think his value will be maximized in a creative offense willing to cater to his strengths.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 9:33 am It's funny, because I'd actually argue that Gibbs is a very safe prospect and isn't reliant on landing spot.

Re: GEDL Rookie Draft 2023
In a PPR, I'd say JSN & Gibbs have the same floor (10-12 PPG); it's their ceilings that are more system dependent.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 9:33 am It's funny, because I'd actually argue that Gibbs is a very safe prospect and isn't reliant on landing spot.
Re: GEDL Rookie Draft 2023
With only 1 RB required to start, I'm going JSN at 2 all day
Re: GEDL Rookie Draft 2023
yeah, that's part of my thinking. Also and more importantly I think it might be too soon to use a Premium rebuild pick on a running back. I generally like to anchor a rebuild to WRs since they have more longevity. I could draft a RB at 2 and then spend another 2-3 years of his career getting my talent level where it needs to be. Also don't forget that picks are more of a crapshoot in this format.
Since it's obvious who 3 is I'll just say Gibbs isn't a slam dunk. There's a very real chance he just becomes a change of pace 3rd down guy. I think he needs to go to a system that will use him like a Kamara or Ekeler for him to be an elite fantasy back. I'm not looking to draft a low end RB2 with the 2nd overall pick. I want to hit and I think after Bijan, JSN is the best skilled player in the draft. I'm a Michigan fan and have seen how good this kid is up close. I think I prefer a decade of him considering my current roster. Gibbs is a nice player but he's not landing spot proof like some in this thread have said.
Re: GEDL Rookie Draft 2023
To add to that, I can't wait to see what order the RB go in this league. This year especially there seems to be a lot of guys that 'could' go day 2 in the draft
