Raw talent that was molded into an elite QB. I sure didn't see it coming. Funny enough, I used to try to start whatever defense the Bills played because he was typically good for at least a few turnovers. It's crazy how that's changed.
Beane has basically been the NFL's Midas, dude even got a team to bite on Mitch as a starter after 1 year of sitting on the bench

Bills | Josh Allen to adjust style? Sun Mar 26, 10:31 PM - Footballguys
"Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen needs to start taking fewer hits, according to head coach Sean McDermott. 'We have to get that adjusted and it's never going to go completely away, but it has to get where it's workable,' McDermott said."
Interesting, but probably inevitable. Eventually all QB's who run frequently need to dial it back to stay healthy. Perhaps that time is coming for Allen. Maybe more passing TD's, fewer rushing TD's?
RB's maybe going to score a few more TD's in Buffalo in 2023?

Man, the first 20 pages of this thread are incredible...
"If we take Josh Allen I'm never watching a Cleveland Browns game again"
"Lamar Jackson has 1st percentile throw velocity"
"I have Allen, Lauletta and Rudolph all pretty much equal to each other"
Those were the days.

Re: Josh Allen - Time to Believe!
He was one of the most polarizing prospects there was. The physical traits were there, but nothing else seemed to be. I remember I had him ranked outside the top 3 that year at QB. His rookie year was a mess, even though he put up decent fantasy numbers. Year 2 was more of the same but 2020, was when everyone started to adjust. Took some more than others but I'm glad we all got there eventually lolmild wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 1:01 pm Man, the first 20 pages of this thread are incredible...

Re: Josh Allen - Time to Believe!
It's why I thought he'd benefit from sitting for a year. But while that didn't happen, and there were bumps along the way he certainly made the right course corrections.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 4:20 pm

I just think it will be interesting if the Bills (and McDermott) actually do reduce his rushing a bit. I realize it's coach-speak, but imagine there is some truth to wanting to eliminate some unnecessary hits.

Thought people around here and other places were nuts hating on him.
Remember telling a friend, a rabid Bills fan, who use to scout for Kiper that the Bills may have drafted the best QB they ever had including Kelly.
At the time he thought I was on some good drugs

Man, I traded him for rookie Tee Higgins before he even played a game in a 1qb league. I felt comfortable making the move as I had Deshaun Watson starting, and I wasn't expecting his arm accuracy to take the jump that it did.
Crazy looking back at old trades.

I used to love starting whatever defense played Allen. His progression has been extremely unique.

Best waiver wire pickup I ever had. People laughed because why would I bother wasting our limited 3 season long pickups I had Goff and Darnold already. Good times.
