Might be nothing, but seeing reports now that Garoppolo to Raiders deal isn’t done yet. Press conference today was postponed. Not saying it’s likely, but would be interesting if the deal fell through. Wonder if they’d jump back in on Rodgers since that isn’t done either.

There was a paperwork error, he’s expected to sign tonight. Took a tour of Allegiant today. Source: Me, Las Vegas resident who knows people.

He's going back to be with Bill O'brien that recruited him in college. So, 5x Pro bowls upcoming.

It's $14 at best and he's an easy cut after 2023. That offense has weapons and they probably add another intriguing name or two in the draft at WR/RB. Falcons will probably be too good to end up picking top 5 next year so I don't think the Caleb tank will be on.
I would buy, but I already own him everywhere lol
Seems like value up for Ridder in 2023.

Taylor Heinicke said his mindset is to be "the best backup I can be to Desmond" Ridder. Falcons were clear that the role they envisioned for him, he said. "They drafted (Ridder) high for a reason," Heinicke said.

Taylor has a much different opinion of what "drafted high" means than I do.

The list of 3rd round QBs is not good. Russell of course, Schaub..... then it's... Foles? Brissett?

Yeah not a great list to be on. But lots of 2nd round QB’s and there are obvious outliers in other rounds. I like Ridder’s profile though when you look at those successful outliers. 4 year starter. Efficient. Lots of wins. Some rushing stats. I just think he’s being handed the keys to a Ferrari here and he would have to be so bad to screw it up, and I just don’t think the 4 years of his resume show that happening. But who the hell knows lol.

All I know is, I was investigating Alec Pierce before our draft last year. Was very intrigued by him and his athletic profile. I had heard people say he was a jump ball specialist, which didn’t compute to his testing. But maybe he’s just and underwear Olympics kind of guy. So let’s see.

Pierce’s tape is littered with burning a guy completely, only for Ridder to toss a duck, and it to turn INTO a jump ball situation.

Can Ridder put up some fantasy stats doing the same thing with Pitts and London? Sure. Do I think he will look good or hold the job? Not at all.

The greats are either high first rounders or free agents. I know this to be true. Just take a look.

Kurt Warner- was bagging groceries
Shane Falco- was removing barnicles
Paul Crewe- a prison cell
Uncle Rico- you’ve got the tape
Johnny Moxon- went to Brown, didn’t want that football life
Jimmie Dix- indefinitely suspended for what he believes are bs reasons

I’d like to know who Rico was playing behind his senior year and where they are now.

His tape is some of the best I’ve ever seen. The underhand flip is a thing of beauty, something that even Mahomes would be envious of.

And his arm strength. Will Levis you may have a cannon, but can you throw the ball literally over mountains?

What could have been.

The thing is a lot of the guys in the list of 3rd round QBs don’t ever make it this far where they’re handed the keys to an offense.
All I Der Is Win - 16 Team IDP League (Pass TD 6pts)

QB - Stafford, Stroud, Tune
RB - Swift, Hall, Penny, Bigsby, Ford
WR - Pittman, Olave, Di. Johnson, G. Wilson, J. Williams, Metchie, Robinson, M. Wilson
TE - Okonkwo, Schoonmaker
LB - Brooks, R. Smith, Phillips
DL - Crosby, Allen, Simmons
DB - D. James, Baker, Delpit
K - Just a stupid kicker
