Any TE in this class catch your eye and meet your criteria?Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 7:39 am I disagree but then I think I scout TEs differently than many. Then I look at their athletic profile to see if they are outstanding athletes.

I’ll update to post my individual evaluations as we get measurable coming in. I could do a rough list now if there’s interestStraycatz2 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 5:50 pmAny TE in this class catch your eye and meet your criteria?Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 7:39 am I disagree but then I think I scout TEs differently than many. Guys I like a lot:
tucker kraft
luke schoonmaker
josh whyle
The top 2 are stone cold killers as blockers and are smooth and athletic as receivers. Hard to find too much tape on Schoonmaker catching because MICH underused him criminally as a receiver. What can be found looks good. Kraft will take a year to put on pro muscle to make the jump from a smaller school but the total package of his size, skills and athleticism are drool worthy. Steal these 2 late in your FF draft. Whyle is just a good all around athlete, a smooth downfield receiver and a TE who has the mentality to grow into a fierce blocker even though he’s already pretty damn good. Look for him later in your draft too.
I’m looking to see how these guys shake out with their measurables:
darnell washington
payne durham
Brevyn Spann-Ford
sam laporta
Washington is a massive road grader as a blocker but shows more athleticism snd smoothness as a receiver than last year’s big TE Jelani Woods. I’m crazy about how well he catches balls outside of his frame envelope and how smoothly he transitions for a big guy. I’ll probably love him even if he doesn’t test great but I don’t want to see a RAS at 5.00 or lower. Durham, LaPorta and Spann-Ford all have the chops to be in-line guys who won’t come out of the game but I want to see how they test. If they can get into the 7.50 or better RAS range I’d be prepared to move them up into the upper list. If they hit 8.50 or better they definitely move up. They all look like WRs as much as TEs and they all like to mix it up on the line and will block into the second and third level.

What do they know about Bijan/BAL that we don't know. Is there something wrong with Dobbins? He's getting the Cam Aker treatment.

I don't think landing spot is particularly meaningful right now, especially with free agency starting in a month. But in theory a RB with one year left on their deal who's missed a lot of time definitely doesn't have job security.YouMightDieTryin wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 8:31 am What do they know about Bijan/BAL that we don't know. I’m not seeing the logic in Bijan going to BAL either. Their RB room right now pretty much does exactly what they want from their guys and do it pretty well. Dobbins, Edwards and Hill all average well north of 5.0 ypa. Pretty solid next man up scenario in place with Dobbins leading the pack.YouMightDieTryin wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 8:31 am What do they know about Bijan/BAL that we don't know. Re: Way, way, waaaay too early 2023 Draft class thread
As a BAL fan, the hot RB gets mocked here every year. I dont think its happening either. If its a decision between Bijan, Addison and JSN at 22, I guarantee they will go WR.
lol at Gibbs to BUF. Don't they have enough RB of that archetype already? Gibbs would be the best of the bunch if he did go there, but man what a waste on James Cook and Hines if they did go that route.

Re: Way, way, waaaay too early 2023 Draft class thread
I think that Gibbs is a pretty significant upgrade to both. Cook is JAG sand Hines is a kick returner. The Bills would be foolish to have their personnel decisions revolve around those twoJigga94 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 9:16 am As a BAL fan, the hot RB gets mocked here every year. BUF needs to concede that their committee approach at RB has been a disaster for the past few years. There are at least 3 legit 3 down RBs in this draft who would fit perfectly into their system. Let the guys on the roster now move down into situational depth like they warrant.

As a Packers fan I’ve seen WR mocked to us for years and years and yet…we never draft skill players in the 1st. Let's say you're at 5, and Bijan/Gibbs/JSN/Addison are all off the board? Trade out or who do you take (not arguing, just curious)?
