You guys are more or less in line with KeepTradeCut at the top, except you're pumping some of the later guys a bit higher than consensus.

https://keeptradecut.com/dynasty-rankin ... filters=QB

Tier 1: Mahomes, Allen
Tier 2: Hurts, Burrow, Herbert
Tier 3: Lamar, Fields, Lawrence
Tier 4: Tua
Tier 7: Kyler, Watson, Dak

(the jump to Tier 7 is because they're tier-grouped with other player positions, which suggests there is a large wasteland in relative value after that Lamar/Fields/Lawrence/Tua group)

Any that’s the fallacy really with keep trade cut. People want to be low on someone like Dak, however… in a 2QB/Superflex league you’d be bananas imo to trade Dak for Drake London 1 for 1 yet they’re near equivalent values in there. QBs in a vaccuum are easy for KTC to evaluate, their actual value when they’re on your roster and you have true positional security for 5+ years is hard to quantify.

I'd take Dak over Tua any day. Tua is being propped up by elite WR's and I don't like his long term outlook talent wise or injury wise. He's a solid NFL QB with a major injury history and really good OC and arguably the best 1/2 combo in the league at WR. Dak isn't great, but It trust his floor a lot more, and I've seen his ceiling.

Nice. Sounds promising.

I was just tweaking the "you can't win a Superbowl with a rushing QB" crowd. They've been a little quiet, no?

You have guys like Dak who were late-round rookie picks or FA additions, but the ROI Hurts has returned has been massive for dynasty owners who scooped him in the late 2nd or 3rd round of rookie drafts.

it kills me. Drafted Hurts in the 5th round of our rookie draft that year, sold him for a 2nd right before he blew up smh

Ouch. That's rough.

The scary thing about Hurts is that he just has so much room to grow as a passer. That team is going to have challenges when they pay Hurts and it'll be interesting to see which weapons they keep around him. If I'm PHI, I'd invest in current WR/TEs and then just cheap out on RB forever.

If only there was a thread on this forum where people were saying positive things about how good of a fantasy QB he could be, and how if the arm ever even-slightly caught up with the legs... alas.
Needalife wrote: Tue Jan 31, 2023 11:39 am The scary thing about Hurts is that he just has so much room to grow as a passer. Nope.

The scary thing is that his weapons are already locked in until 2024 for Devonta Smith (I believe he might have a 2025 option), 2027 for AJ Brown (his entire prime), and 2026 for Dallas Goedart (but with contractual control until 2028 from the looks thanks to fake contract years).

Say it with me now: Howie Roseman is 9 steps ahead of you.

The scary thing is that the Eagles have the 10th overall pick this year along with their own pick in the 30's.

The scary thing is that this team is already built, and that Jalen will continue to grow with the entire core for at least the next 3-4 seasons.

If you want to talk OL talent, then sure - a couple of those pieces are getting older. But weapon wise, it's locked in. This was year 1 of the AJB / Slim Reaper / Goedart / Jalen Hurts lineup. I'm excited to see what happens for them in year 2... 3... 4...

God help the league if Howie hits again on an offensive superstar with #10 or #31. (Bijan, Gibbs...?)

I think they are going to invest in defense in the draft. They need to replace Cox and BG, and could look at shoring up safety/LB as well.
orphan rebuild- 3 superflex, nerfed QB scoring 0.5/1/1.5 wr/rb/te PPR
QB: Hurts, Dobbs, Lance, Huntley, Bagent
RB: Swift, Kamara, Sanders, K. Mitchell, Foreman, CEH, Dowdle, Demercado
WR: Lamb, AJB, DK, Hollywood, Jakobi, Lazard, Boyd, Shaheed, Douglas
TE: Chig, Juwan, Conklin, Taysom, Smythe
Picks: 3 2024 2nds

rebuild 2: 1QB PPR
QB: Richardson, Pickett, Mayfield
RB: Achane, E Mitchell, Demercado
WR: Chase, Addison, QJ, J Palmer, Wan'Dale, Claypool, Douglas, Metchie
TE: Kittle, Mayer, Otton, Ferguson

Now Hurts has not really been much of a rushing QB since he came back from that shoulder injury in Chicago.
I think that shoulder is worse than most folks realize.

Maybe have off-season shoulder surgery like Justin Herbert.
I wouldn't be surprised.

Eagles always invest in lineman, and have age on both sides of the ball.
Kelce, Lane Johnson getting older on the OLine, and Cox, BG on the DLine.

As for the 1st round picks, probably go lineman or CB, as Eagles do not value LB, RB, TE, S enough to use 1st round draft capital.
2nd is as high as they will go for those positions.
