Upcoming rookie draft

I have been working on a rebuild for a few years now, the league is 1qb with option of 2-3 rbs or 3-4 wrs and a tight end 1/2 point ppr. My current roster looks like this

Qb Lance, Pickett, Stidham
Rb Hall, Mckinnon, Perine, Dallas, Ebner
Wr Jefferson, Chase, Lamb, St Brown, Palmer, Doubs, wan'dale, tim Patrick
TE Pitts, Likely, Tonyan

In the 2023 I have the 1.02,1.03,1.04 I guess my question is what's everyone's opinion on what I should do to solidify my rb's as I feel as though my wrs are about as good as you can get

On the market - Making your picks available with a note that you are looking for RBs will give you an idea of what options are out there. I am not sure I would any of the picks for aging backs but maybe you can find a decent deal for a younger back like Walker III or Etienne. If you make St Brown available too, that should open up many options, but it would have to be the right deal to move him. Maybe there is a way to get to the 1.01 and land Robinson and Gibbs?

Draft - I would be looking to go BPA to maximize value within the draft and on the market. There is so much to still play out with the combine and NFL draft, that I would not get stuck on taking anyone as of now. Let the process play out and keep your options wide open as of now in January. The best options will become more clear in time.

I would get a QB with one of those picks. If it was me, I'd go Gibbs, Young/Stroud, JSN/Addison.

I would keep ASRB (If this is who it is) since you can start 4 WR and see if could trade 1.02/1.04 for 1.01. I would then see if can trade back the 1.03 and get some more draft capital and take one of the QBs

This is a 1QB league correct? I don't know why anyone is suggesting drafting a QB anywhere in the first let alone with one of your top4 picks.

Agreed that I would try very hard to get Bijan without giving up one of your core 4 players, but I wouldn't trade any picks for veteran RBs. I'd gladly take Gibbs & JSN, look to trade back from 1.4 for multiple picks in the 1.6 - 2.05 range (and/or trade ARSB for a RB like Dobbins / Etienne / Swift).

You can always move a small piece in season for a QB in a 1 QB league

NO!!!!
Never give up a top 4 pick for a QB in a 1 QB league UNLESS you are getting Mahomes/Allen, etc.

I would consider offering pick 1.04 for a top 3/4 QB, certainly don't waste it on a rookie QB in a 1 QB league!!

I do like the idea of packaging one of those picks with ARSB or a lower WR to get Bijan.
You certainly are LOADED at WR.

I would NOT pick 3 RB's with pick 2/3/4, if I had to use the picks it's probably Gibbs/JSN/QJ or Addison.
The value of those picks is at WR outside of Gibbs.

Don't reach on a RB, though I would consider trading down from 3/4 to help your RB room, and grab later 1st round picks for RB's.
Maybe trade away 1.04 for 1.09 + 1.12 or something like that.
Value kind of forces you to pick WR at 1.04, but you could go RB at 1.09 and 1.12, plenty of RB depth here.

Maybe 1.03 + 1.04 gets you 1.01, and you could grab Bijan and Gibbs.

I suggested taking a QB because his QBs are terrible. His WRs are very good. Has one RB. Good TEs assuming Pitts works out. Could you get a top QB (Young/Stroud) later? Sure. You could screw around and trade down to 1.09 or later. But if you want Young and think he's the best by far, take him at 1.04. People get so worked up about a few pick slots earlier or later.

Pickett was the 28th best QB.
Stidham not starting.

Maybe there are QBs on the WW.

If you can trade up to get Bijan at 1.01 do it.
Gibbs at 1.02 is the move otherwise.
Then you could take both Addison/JSN.
Or some really like Tucker.

IDK. You aren't desperate at WR, so I honestly would consider taking Young at 1.04, if you're a believer.
